West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first. Brandon King and Alick Athanaze opened for the West Indies. Alick charged at Taskin Ahmed in the 4th over and hit 17 runs. Rishad Hossain bowled out Alick in the 9th over. Shai Hope and King were building a partnership, but Taskin Ahmed broke it in the 12th over by taking King’s wicket. On the very next ball, Rutherford also got out.

Shai Hope and Rovman Powell were scoring runs with a good strike rate. In the last over, Powell hit 3 back-to-back sixes to Tanzim Hasan. Shai Hope scored 46 runs in 28 balls, and Powell scored 44 runs in 28 balls. West Indies post 165 runs on the board. It was a good total on that pitch.

Saif Hasan and Tanzid Hasan opened for Bangladesh. Tanzid Hasan showed some flair in starting. Hit a six and four in the first over and a four in the second, but this show ended on the next ball. Captain Litton Das got out in the 3rd over on Akeal’s ball. Akeal Hosein cleaned the opener, Saif Hasan. 

Shamim Hossain bowled on Holder’s ball. Khary Pierre bowled out Nurul Hasan. Back-to-back wickets put Bangladesh under pressure. Tanzim Hasan and Nasum Ahmed tried but fell short. Jayden Seales and Jason Holder took 3 wickets each. Akeal Hosein took 2 wickets. Khary Pierre and Shepherd picked 1 wicket each.
