World Cup 2019: India records historic victory on the West Indies

Yesterday, India had a spectacular win over West Indies. Team India first batted for the target of 268 against the West Indies. The highest score i.e 72 runs scored by Virat Kohli and named as man of the match, MS Dhoni scored 56 runs from 61 balls, Pandya (46) and Rahul (48) as well as Indian bowling did not allow the West Indies to stay late in the day, due to which none of the West Indies Player did make root run.

India got all west indies out on 140 runs, the highest wickets by Mohammed Shami got 2-2 wickets, Bumrah and Chahal got 2-2 wickets and Pandya, Yadav got one wicket, due to which India would once again make their name.

World cup 2019: India’s marvelous victory over Pakistan

On Sunday at Old Trafford, India defeated Pakistan by 89 runs with Duckworth-Lewis rule. Decided to bat first, India made 336/5 runs whereas Pakistan scored 212/6 in 40 overs as the rain stopped play. After the defeat, Pakistan’s captain Sarfaraz was slammed by Shoaib Akhtar as “Brainless captain” who don’t’ know about his team strength.

Both teams had met for the first time in the 1992 world cup. Since then both of them have played 8 world cups 7 times. India won the first match played 9596 days ago and the seventh match as well. This is the record of the Indian team of highest victory against any team in the world cup.

Rohit (140) and Rahul (57) opened for the first time in the ODI and scored 136 runs in pairs. For the first time in the world cup, the opening pair made a century partnership.

God of cricket turns 46, first poster of second Biopic released today

The lord of Cricket, Sachin tendulkar is celebrating his 46^th birthday today on 24^th April. He is considered as God of cricket as in his 24 years of career; he broke many records and made many new one. Currently he is associated with the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians team but left playing in 2013. Tendulkar holds the record for highest number of centuries in both Tests (51) and ODIs (49) and he is the only man to score 100 centuries in international cricket.

Today on his 46th birthday, first poster of his another biopic is released in which he will do cameo. The movie name is God of cricket and is directed by Sudesh kanojia. Sharing the first poster of the film, trade analyst, Komal Nahta tweeted, “Loved the title. Yes, he is indeed the God of Cricket! I don’t need to clarify, do I? Indian Squad for World Cup 2019 Announced

Today, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-men squad for the upcoming 50 over World Cup which will be played in England & Wales from 30 May 2019. The Chief Selector Mr. MSK Prasad along with other selectors & Captain Virat Kohli decided upon the 15 players who will represent the country in the showpiece event. The Squad was announced later in the day with as many as 12 players already being confirmed because of their superb performance in previous year or so.

The team will be led by Virat Kohli with Rohit Sharma as his deputy & Ms.Dhoni as the first choice wicket-keeper, while Jasprit Bumrah will lead the pace attack along with Mohammed Shami & Bhuvneshwar Kumar as back-up. Kuldeep Yadav & Yuzvendra Chahal as two preferred spin options & Shikhar Dhawan at top with Rohit. Once again Hardik Pandya will play the critical role of All-Rounder & finisher along with Kedar Jadhav, while KL.Rahul will act as backup-opener & Vijay Shankar is set to act as the no. 4 for the team. Dinesh Karthik will be back-up keeper & Ravindra Jadeja as back-up All-Rounder.

New Zealand Announces Squad

Today, in early hours of the day, the New Zealand Cricket Board announced their 15 men squad for the upcoming 50-over World Cup which will be held in England from May 30, 2019. The team features a set of established and experienced players with a uncapped wicket-keeper batsman Tom Blundell being added to the squad.

The 15 men squad features Trent Boult & Tim Southee who will be the lead pacers for the side wit likes of Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson as backup. Also, Ish Sodhi has been selected ahead of Todd Astle, who has shown better performance throughout. While the team will be captained by Kane Williamson & experienced Ross Taylor is likely to slot at no. 4 with likes of Colin Munro & Martin Guptill at top.

Blundell is a wicket-keeper who hails from Wellington & made his List A debut back in year 2013 against Otago (domestic team in New Zealand) & in total has notched up 763 runs at an impressive average of 23.81 in the 50-over format. He has also effected 41 dismissals behind the stumps in his List A career.
