The innings was anchored by significant contributions from their top-order batsmen, with David Warner and Rishabh Pant leading the charge. Warner’s aggressive stroke play and Pant’s quick scoring propelled DC to a formidable total.
IPL 2025: Chennai Super Kings’ Struggles in the Chase
In response, the Chennai Super Kings faced early setbacks during their chase. The top order collapsed during the powerplay, losing three wickets within the first six overs. This early collapse put CSK on the back foot, making the chase increasingly challenging.
Vijay Shankar and MS Dhoni’s Efforts in Vain
Amidst the top-order debacle, Vijay Shankar played a resilient knock, remaining unbeaten with 69 runs. He was well-supported by the seasoned MS Dhoni, who contributed an unbeaten 30 runs.
