The first match was held at DY Patil. Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Amelia Kerr and G Kamalini opened for the MI. Amelia Kerr struggled a lot and got out on 4 runs in 15 balls. MI reached 34 runs in the power play after hitting 13 in the 6th over. Nat Sciver-Brunt got out on 4 runs after the power play.
Shreyanka Patil clean bowled G Kamalini in the 10th over. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur also got out in the next over. Sajeevan Sajana’s catch dropped on 2 runs and 4 runs, and she scored 45 runs in just 25 balls. Nicola Carey scored 40 runs. MIW scored 154 runs. Nadine de Klerk bowled really well, giving only 26 runs and taking 4 wickets.
RCBW starts well. Grace Harris scored 25 runs in 12 balls. Smriti Mandhana scored 18 runs in 13 balls. RCB scored 57 runs in the power play. But after that, MI controlled the match and took quick wickets of Dayalan, Richa Ghosh, and Radha Yadav. Nadine de Klerk took RCB back into the game.
Prema Rawat hit 2 needed boundaries. Nandine de Klerk scored 18 runs in the last four deliveries to steal this win from MI. RCBW won by 3 wickets.
