Villagers questioned Vidya Balan’s character because she is a woman. In the three-minute trailer, we see Shakuntala Devi (VidyaBalan) solving difficult math problems with ease and going to London to record her name in Guinness Work records book. The twist comes in her life when she becomes a mother. Sanya Malhotra plays the role of Shakuntala Devi’s daughter in the film. The two share a bittersweet mother-daughter relationship.

The global premiere of Shakuntala Devi will be on 31st July, on Amazon Prime Video.
