Champhai

Champhai is a town situated on the Indo-Myanmar border and 188kms away from Aizawl. It covers an area of 3185.83 km and it is the main trading hub between India and Myanmar. The climate in Champhai remains a moderate all-around year. Champhai is surrounded by vast valleys, beautiful flora, fauna, and green hills.

Tamdil Lake

Tamdil means Lake of Mustard that is situated about 110 km from Aizawl. This place is home to many species of plants, animals, and birds.

The Tamdil lake has many fishes and prawns that’s why this place is an important location for the fisheries department. The lake is surrounded by thick forest and mountains which makes its beauty surreal.

Solomons Temple

It is a nondenominational church built in 1984 known as Solomons temple. The area of the temple is approximately 3025 sq.km, it has 4 pillars having 7 Davids stars, next to the temple there is the major shopping hub where you can find designer apparels, cosmetics, shoes, and handicraft items.

KV Paradise

KV Paradise is also called as TajMahal of Mizoram. It is located in Durtlang on a hilltop which is 10kms from Aizawal. The construction of KV Paradise was completed in the year 2006 and it was built by a Mizo in memory of her wife. It is a two-floor construction where the bottom floor consists of erected memorials and paintings of Mrs.Varte, the upper floor consists of belongings of Mrs.Varte.

Phawngpui Hills

Another name for Phawangpui is Blue Mountain and it is the highest mountain peak in Mizoram. Phawngpui hills are located in the Lawngtlai district which is closer to the Myanmar border. This area has bamboo grooves, vegetation, and grasslands. It is a beautiful place and if you are in Mizoram then you must visit this place.

Phulpui Grave

Phulpui Grave is located in a village of Phulpui, where you can find two graves of Zawlpala and Thenzawl. Legends say that Zawlpala and Thenzawl were husband and wife when Zawlpala died Thenzawal was so heartbroken that she dug her own grave next to Zawlpala’s grave and asked a woman to kill her and bury her next to Zawalpala, this place is a symbol of eternal love and a must-visit in Mizoram.

Memorial of Chhingpui

The Memorial of Chhingpui is also a symbol of love and about 80kms away from Aizawl situated on the Aizawl Lunglei road. The story behind this memorial is of a beautiful lady Chhingpuii who was an upper-caste woman, everyone in town was ready to marry her but she decided to marry a kaptluanga, but after her marriage, she was abducted and killed. This incident has shaken everyone in the town, hence this place became a symbol of love in Mizoram.

Vantawang Falls

Vantawang Falls is situated 5km south of Thenzawl and is about 92km from Aizawl. It’s the biggest uninterrupted waterfall in Mizoram. As it is situated on the Vanva River and hence gets its name as Vantawang. This area is covered with beautiful grass everywhere.

Thenzawl

Thenzawl is 90kms away from Aizawl. This village is a center for the traditional Mizo handloom industry and is a most exotic village filled with a variety of plants, trees, animals and birds. There are many breathtaking tourist places in Thenzawl such as Vantawnf Falls, Thenzawl Deer Park, and many more.

Palak Lake

Also known as Palak Dil lake, it’s a natural lake situated in Mizoram. The lake is a combination of valley and tectonic lakes hence it is the largest lake in Mizoram. Two mountain streams flow into the lake and the forest near the lake is tropical wet evergreen forest. This place is a marvelous creation of nature and must to see in Mizoram.

PhawngpuiTlang

PhawbgpuiTlang is the highest mountain peak of Mizoram and is a popular trekking site, most people call it the blue mountain. It is almost 2157 meters in height located near the Myanmar border and is a fantastic landscape filled with cliffs and deep crevices. Trekking at such a place is an experience that every adventure lover should try.

RihDil

Rihdil is a unique heart shape natural lake situated close to the Indo-Myanmar border. The lake has a folk tale that it is a demon-haunted lake that has been a source of inspiration to write for many Mizo writers. The lake has an eye-catching beauty it is a peaceful place filled with greenery to see in Mizoram.

Baptist Church of Mizoram

The Baptist Church of Mizoram is the second largest church in Mizoram. This church was founded by Baptist English missionaries in 1894. It is a beautiful church one must visit to attain peace and to get closer to God to get his blessings.

Evangelical Church of Maryland

The Evangelical church of Maryland is the largest in Mizoram among mara people. It’s one of 3 churches that were established by English missionaries in Mizoram. It is a famous church and remains mostly filled with devotees. To attain eternal peace one must visit this beautiful church in Mizoram.

SiahaVaihpiEcm Local Church

SiahaVaihpi ECM local church is a church in the Saiahdistrict of Mizoram state. It is a beautiful church on the top of a hill. With a red roof, the church can be seen from a far distance and it looks marvelous.

 Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary

Khawnglung wildlife sanctuary is situated 160 km from Aizawl. This wildlife sanctuary is home to many animals, plants, birds, and trees. Some of the endangered species are wild boar, barking deer, gibbon, sambar deer, and leopard. This place consists of a vast variety of flora and fauna making it one of the most beautiful places in Mizoram.

 Sibuta Lung

Sibuta Lung is basically a remembrance stone. Sibuta Lung is situated in Tachhip village in Aizwal. This location has many folk stories about it and the area is covered with lush greenery which makes it look even more beautiful.

Rungdil lake

Rungdil is known for being a twin lake located at 14kms from Suangpuilawn village in Aizawl, Mizoram. The lake covers an area of 2.5 hectares approximately. This lake has a beautiful tropical evergreen forest which has a variety of flora and fauna. This lake is a magnificent place to visit

Mizoram State Museum

 Serlui B Lake

SerluiB lake is located at about an hour’s drive from Kolasib. This lake is located close to Serui hydel project dam and has many lush green hills surrounding it.  Saiha

Saiha is a town in the Southcentral part of Mizoram, which was originally named Siaha where ‘sia’ stands for elephant and ‘ha’ meaning tooth. The best time to visit the town would be during the moderate summers or cool winters.

Must-visit places in Saiha include Palak wildlife sanctuary that displays exquisite biodiversity.

 Pi Sangpuii Tomb

Presbyterian Church

 Presbyterian Church in Mizoram is the largest Christian denomination in Mizoram. It was the first church established in the state of Mizoram and is now one of the biggest constituent bodies of a larger denomination Presbyterian Church of India (PCI). It was originated on 11 Jan 1894 and it has approximately 600000 members in it.

 Murlen Wildlife Sanctuary

One of the beautiful places that reside in Mizoram is called Murlen Wildlife Sanctuary. It got the name from the village outskirts to it.  Dampa Wildlife Sanctuary

Dampa tiger reserve is the biggest wildlife sanctuary in the state of Mizoram located at the border of India and Bangladesh in the western part of Mizoram.
