This camp was organized by the Dr. Monika, Physiotherapist, Sapra Multispecialty Hospital, Hisar that has been serving the community at large since many years.

According to Dr. Monika, today Indian population’s significantly reliance on technology has led in an increase in the number of health problems, particularly muscular and postural ones. With an aim to create awareness about the role of physiotherapy in personal well being and its assistance, we conduct Physiotherapy camps to encourage the masses about the various ortho and neural problems. Physiotherapy is commonly known to use for patients with chronic pain and those recovering from surgery, while people should be aware of its value as a preventive and rehab treatment as well as the role it plays in anyone’s life, said Dr. Monika, Physiotherapist, Sapra Multispecialty Hospital

Dr. Monika at the physiotherapy camp educated people about the right posture and exercises to avoid posture related pain, knee pain, back pain, neck pain and other ailments.

At the end, Shiksha Samiti members felicitated Dr. Monika for her hard work and awareness that she gave to the people in the physiotherapy camp.

The objective of the camp was to provide information regarding heart, liver, stomach, and Intestine. Dr. Prabhu S Swami and Dr. Jai Bhagwan Dhull gave their consultancy services and also aware people about the basic health problems at the camp.

Vinod Anchal, Director, Anchal multispecialty and Maternity Center informed, “ About 240 patients have taken OPD, ECG, and free Blood Sugar test services in the camp. Free medical camps are set up with a sacred aim to bring awareness and provide completely free medical checkup including all medical services like ECG, OPD, Blood Test, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Maternity, amongst the poor population of the society who have no access to basic healthcare services or knowledge about the diseases they are suffering from.

The regular health check-up camps organized by us make sure people get healthcare at the right time, and see the doctor early before a small health problem turns serious.

 Dr. Prabhu Swami, Head of the Department of Gastro and Liver Surgery, Sapra Hospital, said that during abdominal surgery, all the parasites (Peritoneal Hydatidosis) affected bumps weighed around 18 kgs, were removed while protecting the vital organs of the patient.

 According to Dr. Prabhu, this special type of parasite enters into the human body due to contact with domestic animals such as dogs, sheep, etc., and creates parasitic lumps in the stomach. Usually, patients have only one or two cysts, but this patient had more than 100 cysts in the body, which made her condition very serious. The immediate operation was necessary as these lumps were very poisonous from inside, and if any of them get burst, then it becomes very difficult to save the life of the patient. But in spite of all kinds of difficulties, I, along with Dr. Tarun Sapra and Dr. Rajesh Garg (Anesthetist), the entire team of the hospital made this complex operation successful.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Sapra Multispecialty Hospital, the hospital started a heart bypass surgery service for the people of Hisar and its surrounding areas. The first successful heart bypass surgery was operated on 52-year-old Ajit, a resident of a village near Bhiwani, who was brought to Sapra Hospital in a critical condition after a heart attack.

Hospital’s senior heart surgeon Dr. Jai Bhagwan took the case and examined that two of his three veins were 100% blocked and one the third vein was 80% blocked due to which the condition was serious.

In an interview with Jugaadin News, when asked about the surgery, Dr. Jai Bhagwan said, the heart bypass surgery lasted for about four and a half hours, in which one of the three veins was inserted from the chest and two veins from both legs. The main point of the surgery was that it was operated on a beating heart.
