The trailer begins with a school classroom where a student asks the teacher what sex is and the teacher hesitantly replies that if a bird sits on another bird….and then in another scene, Rakul Preet Singh shows that she knows how to speak straight and believes in straight talk. Seeing Rakul people’s reaction and hesitation, it is understood that people are not aware. It is shown in the trailer that due to being uneducated, his sister-in-law has had two abortions and due to this her condition becomes very bad. Rakul is shocked to see all this and then she herself goes away after picking up the copybook, it is necessary to tell the world about sex education, but Rakul also knows that it is not that easy, will society understand it or not? The trailer for Doctor G, starring Ayushmann Khurrana portrays Dr. Uday Gupta, who struggles to be a gynaecologist because he is aware that women do not feel comfortable with male gynaecologists. The trailer opens with Ayushmann getting assaulted in a clinic by a patient’s spouse. Further, Ayushmann, who is uncomfortable treating women, asks a fellow college student to change the subject from him because he wants to study orthopaedics instead of gynaecology. However, the woman refuses and asks the reason, to which Ayushmann says, “Jo mere pass hai hi nahi uska illaj kaise karuinga 

Shefali Shah, playing the role of  Dr Nandini, a gynaecologist and Uday’s teacher, advises him to “loose the male touch,” and treat the patients seriously. In the movie, Rakul Preet Singh playing the role of Dr Fatima, while Sheeba Chaddha plays the role of Ayushmann’s mother.

Ayushmann Khurrana also shared the trailer on his Instagram handle and wrote, “Gynaecology department ki har ek naari, padegi #DoctorG pe bhaari!”
