The World Cup match was played at Centurion on 1 March 2003 between India and Pakistan. In the match, Team India won 6 wickets with 26 balls remaining where Pakistan scored 273 for 7 wickets in 50 overs. In response, India scored 276 for 4 wickets in 45.4 overs. Sachin Tendulkar scored 98 for the team, Yuvraj Singh 50, Rahul Dravid 44 and Mohammad Kaif scored 35 runs. There was a 102-run partnership between Sachin and Kaif. Akhtar took Sachin’s wicket only.
