All the other laws and customs of the country must work in accordance with the constitution to be valid.

Constitution Day is celebrated every year on (November 26) as the constitution of India was prepared on this day. “Constitution Day” was observed by the Government of India for the first time in 2015. “Constitution Day of India” is celebrated to remember the contribution of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar (Drafter of Indian constitution) and to spread the importance of the Constitution.

The Indian constitution is considered to be the largest constitution in the world. The Constitution of India is the lengthiest written constitution in the world. The Indian Constitution consists of 448 Articles, 12 Schedules. The Constitution of India was prepared in 1949 on 26 November.

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar (B.R. Ambedkar) prepared the Constitution in 2 years, 11 months and 18 days and dedicated it to the nation. The Indian Constitution was implemented on 26 January 1950.
