PM Modi urged citizens of India to follow the 7 rules during an extended lockdown period to completely eradicate the coronavirus.

1.Take care of the elderly

Take extra care of elderly people who are ill or have a chronic disease. Protect them from coronavirus.

2. Follow social distancing

Stick to the lockdown rules completely and follow social distancing. It is also advisable to wear a homemade face cover and mask before going out of the house.

3. Follow advisory Of AYUSH health ministry to improve immunity

Follow the instruction given by the Ministry of AYUSH to increase immunity such as drinking warm water, taking steam, turmeric milk and kadha.

4. Download ArogyaSetu App

The government is urging to download the AarogyaSetu application to monitor the situation better as the app uses location data of individuals and helps in tracing contacts.

5. Take care of the poor

Help the poor and needy people who are facing financial problems during the COVID-19 crisis. Try to fulfill their food requirements.

6. Take care of employees don’t fire them

As the corporates and businesses have to cease their operations during the nationwide lockdown. Prime Minister Modi has appealed to all employers across the nation to show compassion towards employees and not remove them from their jobs.

7. Pay respect to CORONA Warriors

Pay respect to frontline workers doctors, nurses, police force and sanitation workers and honor them for their work.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the people of the nation to come together and support in the fight against corona.

So what are these three zones and how will they impact economic activity in the country:

1. Red Zones- areas, where generous numbers of cases were detected or declared to be hotspots, would fall under the red zone and no move of public will be allowed.

 2. Orange zones- areas where several cases are found to be low and there is no increase in positive cases, the least activities will be open such as the opening of limited public transport and agriculture activities.

3. Green Zones- where there are no cases of COVID-19 there will be more relaxations such as MSME industries falling under the green zone will be allowed to function with proper maintenance of social distancing and in-house lodging facilities for employees.

It is difficult for both the central and state government to choose between, public health which demands to extend the lockdown to control the spread of the disease and the economy which is in crisis because of the closure of factory plants’ unstable trade, unsustainable business, and loss of jobs and incomes.
