New Zealand vs England, on Sunday, October 26, at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui.

New Zealand won the toss and opted to bowl first. Matt Henry was pumped up on his first ball. He bowled out Jamie Smith. In the second over, Zakary Foulkes took the wicket of Ben Duckett, and in the same over, Foulkes bowled out Root. The top 3 of England fall in just 2 overs. 

Foulkes again bowled out Jacob Bethell. Wicket-keeper batsman Butler got on Matt Henry’s ball. Zakary Foulkes was a tough challenge for England, and Sam Curran also found it difficult to read Foulkes. England scored 58-6, but captain Harry Brook had other plans.

Harry Brook charged against the bowlers. Brook and Jamie Overton built a partnership, but Jacob Duffy took 2 wickets in 2 balls, and Jamie got out on 46 and Brydon on a duck. Jacob Duffy took Adil Rashid’s wicket.  But Brook didn’t stop; he smashed a hundred and started charging every ball. Got out on Santer’s ball; he scored 135 runs in just 101 balls. England posts a total of 223 runs.

New Zealand’s start was similar to England’s. Brydon Carse got 2 in 2 in the second over of the innings, Will Young got bowled out on 5 runs, and Williamson on a duck. Wood took Ravindra’s wicket. Brydon Carse was LBW to Latham on a wobbly seam delivery. Daryl Mitchell and Michael Bracewell built a partnership to stabilise the chase. Bracewell got run out on 51 runs. Santner scored 27 runs, and Daryl scored 78, which was not out, to give a victory to the home side.

England faced New Zealand on Monday, October 20. England will play a 3-match T20 and 3-match ODI series in New Zealand.

New Zealand won the toss and opted to bowl first. Philip Salt and Jos Buttler opened for England. England’s start was aggressive, but Jacob Duffy took the wicket of Jos Buttler after conceding three boundaries. Jacob Bethell, after hitting back-to-back sixes to Michael Bracewell, got out on the last ball of the power play.

Harry Brook and Philip Salt smashed the New Zealand bowlers; both batters scored fifties. Brook got out after scoring 78 runs off just 35 balls, and in the same over, Philip Salt also got out for 85 runs in 56 balls. Jamieson took 2 wickets in the 18th over. Tom Banton scored quick runs at the end of the innings — 29 runs in just 12 balls.

New Zealand’s start was not good; they lost 2 wickets to Brydon Carse in the second over. Tim Seifert and Mark Chapman showed some intent, but in the 10th over, Chapman got out to Liam Dawson. In the next over, Tim Seifert got out to Adil Rashid, and in the following over, Liam dismissed Michael Bracewell. Adil struck again in the very next over, removing Daryl Mitchell. Back-to-back wickets put down the home side.

Mitchell Santner and James Neesham gave some last hope to the chase, but Adil Rashid took both of them in the 17th over, and in the 18th, Luke Wood took 2 wickets to end the New Zealand innings.

The final match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 begins at 1.30 PM IST. After 1992, now in 2022, Pakistan and England were again found playing together in the final of the T20 World Cup. England won the last World Cup in 2010 and Pakistan won the World Cup in 2009. Both teams faced each other in the final match after showing excellent performances in their respective semi-final matches.

England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and chose to field in the final of the T20 World Cup 2022 against Pakistan, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Pakistan set a target of 137 runs in their quota of 20 overs against England.

Pakistan’s journey in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 was like a fairytale. They managed to make it to the semi-finals with their effort, and then beat New Zealand by 7 wickets in Group 1 in the semi-finals. Pakistan’s bowling played a vital role in helping them reach the finals of the T20 World Cup 2022. On the other hand, England defeated India by 10 wickets in the 2nd semi-final. England’s continuous successful effort took them to the finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

England and Pakistan have played against each other 28 times in T20 matches so far. Out of these total 28 matches, England won 18 matches while Pakistan won on 9 occasions.

England worked hard from the beginning, but due to their tight fielding, Pakistan could not set the target of more scores. Ben Stokes completed his half-century and played a big hand in England’s victory. Adil Rashid performed brilliantly, conceding only 22 runs in four overs and taking 2 wickets of which one wicket was a maiden. England bowled brilliantly in the last over, it was their AIM that Pakistan could not cross 150 runs. Looking at Sam Karan’s superb bowling, he was awarded the Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament awards. Out of all the matches for the Pakistan side, the performance in the final match was sluggish. No batsman scored a half-century in the final match. Pakistan made only 137 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
