Women on wheels showcased the women empowerment

With a motto of giving women recognition, the Jain Shewtambar Terapanth Mahila Mandal and Kanya Mandal, Hisar under the direction of Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal organized a ‘Women on Wheels’ program on International Women’s Day on Sunday 8th March in the city. The program was conducted across the country as an attempt to secure an entry into the Limca Book of Records.

The program involved the bike rally from Katla Ramleela to Jindal Auditorium in which more than 100 women participated. The rally was an attempt to showcase the confidence and empowerment of women in today’s society.

Vijaya Jindal Honored with Prerna Samman

At the Jindal Auditorium, the further program held under the aegis of Sadhvi KunthuShri Ji. The Chief Guest for the event was Mrs. Sunita Duggal (Member of Parliament), Mrs. Shalini Chetal (Joint Commissioner) and Mrs. Sunita Yadav (Child Protection Officer) who gave their inspirational words on women’s day to encourage the women power. Also, Mrs. Vijaya Laxmi Jindal, The former president of Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Hisar was honored with Prerna Samman for her invaluable and selfless contribution towards the religious responsibilities.

Women’s Day, officially recognized in 1909 in New York to celebrate womanhood. And, with the increasing of years, its significance and purpose, keeps on increasing.

There is much to celebrate about the day. Each woman in one’s life must be celebrated for all the sacrifices she has made, for all hustles she has done, for all compassion and love, she has bestowed onto us etc. be it our mother, sister, wife, daughter or friend. She truly deserves the same.

Though, it is a saddening fact to realise, what has been done and still happening to the women in our country, as it is known to all of us. Let’s not get into satistics. Do you know why? Because, that’s depressing. Rather, let’s take the force into the hand to do, all that it takes to see all women as ‘human beings’ and not as a ‘second sex’.

If you meet a father, go tell him, that today he’s truly a great man, not only because he has a daughter, but because he has the boon of the universe and she’ll nurture the life beyond.

And, it is for the realisation of all the women, that it is you, who can strengthen the other woman, in a way which no other man can.
So, better be a strength then being a foe.

“Behind every successful woman, there is a great force, called woman.”

And, as I always say,

“Other girls are not my competition, I stand with them, not against them.”

Be a woman, you want to be.

International Women’s Day 2019

To celebrate the womanhood, women empowerment and contribution of women to the society, 8^th March is celebrated as International Women’s day all over the world. The day is marked for acknowledging the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Every year UN decides a theme for the women’s day and the International Women’s Day 2019 campaign theme is ‘Balance for Better’. It demonstrates that a thing that is balanced is much better than unbalanced one. It’s a year long campaign run to bridge the gender inequality prevailing in the society. Gender balance is important for every society or community to run smoothly. When there will be gender balance only then this world can become a better place to live in.
