<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Google Invests in Four areas</strong></p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">Through this effort, Google will invest Rs.75,000 crore, or approximately $10 billion, into India over the next 5-7 years through a mix of equity investments, partnerships, and operational, infrastructure, and ecosystem investments. This will boost the future of India and its digital economy.</p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Investments will focus on four areas important to India’s digitization: </strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li><strong>First, enabling affordable access and information for every Indian in their own language, whether it’s Hindi, Tamil, Punjabi or any other</strong></li><li><strong>Second, building new products and services that are deeply relevant to India’s unique needs</strong></li><li><strong>Third, empowering businesses as they continue or embark on their digital transformation</strong></li><li><strong>Fourth, leveraging technology and AI for social good, in areas like health, education, and agriculture</strong></li></ul>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">Google CEO Sundar Pichai also said “As we make these investments, we look forward to working alongside Prime Minister Modi and the Indian government, as well as Indian businesses of all sizes to realize our shared vision for a Digital India. Our goal is to ensure India not only benefits from the next wave of innovation but leads it. Working together we can ensure that our best days are still ahead.”</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">On Tuesday, <strong>July 07</strong>, <a href="https://www.olacabs.com/media/in/press/ola-partners-with-phonepe-to-enhance-its-digital-payments-experience">Ola</a>, India’s leading mobility platform and one of the world’s largest ride-hailing companies, partnered with PhonePe, India’s leading payments platform. With this partnership, <strong>Ola users </strong>can now enjoy digital payment experience on the <strong>Ola app</strong>. The feature has currently available only for android users.</p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">Ola’s customers across the country can now pay for their ride using PhonePe.&nbsp;As everything is going digital, the partnership between <strong>Ola and PhonePe </strong>will enhance the user’s digital payments experience. Under this, customers can use all of PhonePe’s payment instruments including the <strong>PhonePe wallet</strong> to make payments, in addition to UPI. This combination will fuel the adoption of <strong>digital payment solutions for the mobility industry.</strong></p>

This partnership will be a key enabler to drive India’s digital payment ecosystem.” Said Ankit Gaur, Director, Business Development at PhonePe.</strong></em></p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong><em>Also </em></strong>as an introductory offer, customers can avail up to Rs. 200 in cashback on the first two rides when paid using PhonePe.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The official statement from the government regarding the portal read as the portal will work as a <strong>one-stop digital platform for AI-related developments in India,</strong> sharing of resources such as articles, startups, investment funds in <strong>AI, resources, companies and educational institutions</strong> related to AI in India. The portal will also <strong>share documents, case studies, research reports,</strong> etc. It has a section about <strong>learning and new job roles related to AI</strong>.</p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">On this occasion, a <strong>National Program for the youth </strong>&#8212; &#8216;<strong>Responsible AI for Youth</strong>&#8216; is also launched by <strong>Ravi Shankar Prasad</strong>. About the programme, Ministry said     “The <strong>aim of this programme</strong> is to give the <strong>young students of our country a platform and empower them with appropriate new age tech mindset, relevant AI skill-sets</strong> and access to required AI tool-sets to make them digitally ready for the future. The programme has been created and launched by the <strong>National e-Governance Division, Ministry of Electronics, and IT</strong> in collaboration with <strong>Intel India</strong>, with support from <strong>Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSE&amp;L)</strong>, <strong>Ministry of Human Resource Development</strong>. DoSE&amp;L will help reach-out to State Education Departments to nominate teachers as per eligibility criteria.”</p>
