Previous record: 17 medals at Kobe 2024 (6 Gold, 5 Silver, and 6 Bronze).

India finished 10th in the medal tally, while Brazil topped the table with 44 medals (15 Gold, 20 Silver, and 9 Bronze). China finished second with 52 medals (13 Gold, 22 Silver, and 17 Bronze), having more overall medals but fewer golds than Brazil.

India’s unbeatable streak continues. They now have two wins in two matches, sitting on top of the table with 4 points and a positive NRR of +1.515. This 88-run victory will boost India Women’s confidence going forward in this long and challenging World Cup.

The India vs Pakistan Women’s match was not as hyped as Men’s because there’s usually no real competition between the two sides – India is a far better team than Pakistan. But in cricket you can never predict; on any given day, anyone can beat a giant.

India showed exactly where they stand, completely outplaying Pakistan Women. India set a total of 247 runs – not a huge score but a comfortable total for this match – and it proved enough once Pakistan came to bat. Pakistan had a shaky start, barely middling the ball, and chances were created on almost every delivery. Pressure was visible on their faces. Muneeba Ali’s run out by Deepti Sharma was a complete brain fade moment as she didn’t ground her bat in the crease. The match could have ended even earlier but India’s fielding and reviews weren’t fully on point.

Sidra Amin was the only batter to score a fifty in the match, making 81 (106) [4s-9, 6s-1]. Kranti Gaud and Deepti Sharma took 3 wickets each while Sneh Rana claimed 2.

IPL 2025: RCB Sets a Challenging Target

RCB won the toss and chose to bat first, putting up a commanding total of 205/5 in their 20 overs. The foundation of their innings was laid by the ever-reliable Virat Kohli, who played an elegant knock of 70 runs from 42 balls. Kohli’s innings featured eight boundaries and two sixes, as he anchored the innings and guided RCB to a competitive total.

Devdutt Padikkal, in his return to form, played a blistering knock of 50 runs from just 27 balls. His partnership with Kohli, worth 95 runs for the second wicket, was the highlight of RCB’s innings. Despite a brief middle-order collapse that saw RCB lose quick wickets, Tim David and Jitesh Sharma added some valuable runs in the final overs. David’s 18 off 12 balls and Sharma’s quick 10 off 6 balls ensured RCB reached a challenging total of 205/5.

IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals’ Chase Falls Short

In reply, Rajasthan Royals began their chase with determination but found themselves falling behind as the required run rate climbed steadily. Opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal led RR’s charge, scoring a valiant 75 runs from 47 balls. RCB’s Josh Hazlewood was the standout bowler, finishing with figures of 2/25. Hazlewood’s ability to bowl under pressure and claim vital wickets in the death overs, including those of Jurel and Jofra Archer, played a crucial role in RCB’s victory.

IPL 2025: PBKS’ Batting Dominance

Batting first, Punjab Kings posted a massive total of 243/5. Shreyas Iyer was the star of the show, smashing 97 runs off just 42 balls, hitting 9 sixes and 5 fours. His explosive batting set the foundation for a big total. Shashank Singh also played a vital knock, scoring 44 off 16 balls, helping PBKS finish strong.

1. Saliva Ban Lifted in IPL 2025

2. IPL 2025 Introduces a Conditional Second New Ball

To balance the impact of dew in evening matches, a new ball will be introduced from the 11th over of the second innings—but only if the on-field umpires deem the dew factor significant. This rule aims to maintain fairness in high-scoring games. However, it will not apply to afternoon matches.

3. DRS for Wides Introduced in IPL 2025
