Earlier, he delayed his departure to India but now he has decided to cancel the plan. He is currently in Leeds, United Kingdom and is training with his county team Yorkshire. CSK has not yet named any replacement for Ngidi & need to find one for Willey.

Joining the list of injured players are uncapped Indian Pacers Shivam Mavi & Kamlesh Nagarkoti who got injured just 2 days before start of IPL & has been ruled out due to back injuries respectively, with KC Carriapa & Sandeep Warrier being roped in as their replacements by Kolkata Knight Riders. Also, their fellow Kolkata mate from South Africa Anrich Nortje has a shoulder injury & has been ruled out.
