The keynote speaker of the session will be renowned career counselor Dr. Dinesh Nagpal, Director, Career Compass Hisar. 

The venue for the event is dental college hall, JCDM, Sirsa on December 1 from 10: AM onwards.

The session will help in determining a student his skills, strengths, resources, hidden potential and happiness. Various psychometric, technical and aptitude tests will be conducted to analyze the capabilities of the student. The one-on-one discussion session will be there for every candidate. The session will be held at 183, Mahagun Moderne, Sec-78, from 10 AM to 8 PM.

Dr. Dinesh Nagpal, renowned career counselor and motivational speaker was the chief speaker of the event who advised the students how to select their courses and subjects. Students got an opportunity to learn about various career options in commerce and arts stream and how to go about them. He told “every student is not meant for the medical and non-medical stream. When you choose a stream after X, choose according to your capabilities as commerce and arts stream also has the same amount of importance as medical and non-medical.

Delegate from the UPES said” the need for this kind of workshop arises due to lack of knowledge about new trends and courses today’s students are facing.

The seminar was organized by UPES (Dehradun) in association with Career Compass (Hisar).

Dr. Archana told the various factors that influence an individual learning process are intelligence level, learning disabilities, attention and concentration level, fear and phobias related to studies, exam anxieties, stress, psychological disorders, home environment, etc. A teacher must know all the factors as every individual have a different influencing factor. After knowing the factors they can guide parents or send children to a clinical psychologist for proper diagnosis and treatment of their children. According to clinical psychologist, Early diagnosis, early recognition and timely intervention of these factors can help a student to improve his/her performance in school and in learning. It can reduce the chances of any mental illness in child and adolescent. There are some psychological tests too which can be administered or used for proper diagnosis of these problems.

He motivated them by saying that a person should always have a target and then hit the goal if he wants to achieve success in his life. Various mind games were done on students to know their caliber and interest during the session.
