The Battle of Bhima Koregon History

There was a war between the second Bajirao Peshwa and the British troops on January 1, 1818, at Koregaon Bhima. That’s why this battle is known as the Battle of Bhima Koregaon.  The war was won by the British. According to experts, an army of 28,000 Marathas under the leadership of the second Bajirao Peshwa was ready to attack Pune. British troops consisted of 800 soldiers stopped them and fought for 12 hours and won the battle. After this, the Peshwa changed his mind and returned, as mentioned in the book on the history of the time.
