After India Banned 59 Chinese Phone apps, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced the Aatmanirbhar Bharat App Innovation challenge.
PM Modi Tweeted:
The challenge is launched in eight categories E-learning, Gaming, Business, Entertainment, Work-from-Home, Office Utilities, and Social Networking.
The Aatmanirbhar Bharat Innovation challenge will be regulated under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology and Atal Innovation Mission. It will run in two tracks: Promotion of Existing Apps and Development of New Apps.
- Track-01: will work in mission mode for identifying good quality Apps for the leader-board and shall be completed in around a month.
- Track-02: the government will help in incubating new apps and will work to help create new champions in India by providing support in incubation, ideation, and roll out along with market access.
The result of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat App innovation challenge will give better clarity and visibility to existing Apps to achieve their goals, and to create new tech products to find solutions to tech problems with the help of tech mentorship, support, and guidance during the entire life-cycle.
At last PM Modi has urged start-up and tech community to participate and create an Aatmanirbhar ecosystem.
