Wihan Lubbe also got out after playing a run-a-ball innings. Pretoria Capitals depend on their finishers. Dewald Brevis, Rutherford, and Russell, Pretoria had these 3 finisher, but still they weren’t able to finish in their own way. Pretoria Capitals got all out on 127 runs. Ottneil Baartman took 5 wicket-haul.  Raza and Viljoen each took 2-2 wickets. Bjorn Fortuin picked up a wicket. 

Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Asa Tribe opened for the Paarl Royal; they had a low total. Pretoria Capitals bowled the tight overs. Williams took Lhuan-dre Pretorius wicket in the 2nd over. Williams also took the wicket of Asa Tribe in the 4th over. Pretoria Capitals bowled really well in the powerplay, only gave 40 runs and took 2 wickets. Rubin Hermann scored 46 off 29 balls.

The match swung between both teams before Russell’s over Miller, and Dan Lawrence took 20 runs from that over. Miller hit 2 fous and Dan hit a six in Williams over. Ngidi clean bowled Dan, but the match was already finished. 

Siraj took Will Yong’s wicket. New Zealand lost a couple of wickets in a few overs. Phillips also got out on a tossed-up slower of Kuldeep Yadav. Prashid clean bowled Mitchell Hay. Iyer runs out Michael Bracewell with a brilliant throw. 

In the next, Siraj bowled Foulkes. New Zealand was looking for 350+ and suddenly stopped at 300. Daryl Mitchell played a brilliant innings, scoring 84 runs off 71 balls.

Rohit and Gill gave India a good start. Rohit got out by Jamieson and 26 runs. Gill scored 56 runs. Gill Out Adithya Ashok. 

Phillips dropped gill catch early in this innings, but this time he took a good catch. Kohli was out on 93 runs on Jamieson’s ball. 

The crowd goes silent after Kohli’s wicket. Jadeja also got out in the same over. Jamieson took Shreyas Iyer’s wicket in the next over. Iyer scored 49 runs. Harshit Rana and KL Rahul did the remaining job. KL Rahul finishes the match with a six.

Sachin Tendulkar took 391 innings to complete his 16000 runs. 

Kohli’s last appearance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy came during the 2010-11 season, where he captained Delhi. He played the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy in 2013-14 but had not participated in the Vijay Hazare for nearly a decade before this comeback.

With 14,557 runs in 308 matches at an extraordinary average of 58.46, Kohli is the fastest player to make 14,000 runs in ODI cricket. He also boasts the most centuries in the format, with 53 to his name. Also in yesterday’s match, he scored 131 runs in 101 balls and smashed 14 fours and 3 sixes; he completed his innings with a 129.70 strike rate. And with his match-winning performance, Delhi chased the target in 37.4 overs.

Tom Latham and Conway opened for New Zealand. Latham scored 137 runs, and Conway scored 227. New Zealand was promoted to one down. Rachin Ravindra scored 72 runs not out, and Azaz Patel scored 30 not out. New Zealand declared the innings on 575. Roach and Chase got 1 wicket each. Jayden, Phillip, and Greaves each got 2-2 wickets. 

West Indies, chasing this big total, scored 420 runs in the first innings. Campbell and King gave a good start. Campbell scored 45, and King scored 63. Kavem  Hodge scored 123 runs not out. Alick and Justin Greaves also contributed to the score. Jacob Duffy took 4 wickets. Ajaz Patel took 3 wickets. Michael Rae picked up 2 wickets, and Daryl Mitchell picked up 1 wicket.

New Zealand scored 306 in the second innings and declared. Latham and Conway once again scored a 100. The first opening pair to score 100 in both innings. Williamson scored 40 runs, and Rachin scored 46. 

West Indies got all out on 136 runs in the last innings. Brandon King was the only batter who scored above 50 runs. Jacob Duffy took 5 wicket haul. Ajaz Patel picked up 3 wickets. Glenn and Rachin picked up 1 wicket each.

Hamza Zahoor and Sameer Minhas opened for Pakistan. Hamza Zahoor’s catch dropped in the second over. Hamza Zahoor looked dangerous, but Henil Patel took his wicket in the 4th over. Pakistan was scoring quick runs. Usman Khan got out in the 17th over. Usman Khan scored 35 runs.

Ahmed Hussain scored 56 runs, and the captain, Farhan Yousaf, scored 19 runs. Sameer Minhas single-handedly took the match from India. Sameer Minhas scored 172 runs in 113 balls. Henil Patel and Khilan Patel both bowled with a good economy rate. Pakistan posted a total of 347 runs.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre opened for India. Vaibhav gave an aggressive start. Viabhav need to play according to the situation; singles and doubles are always important in ODI cricket. Viabhav scored 26 runs, and Ayush Mhatre scored only 2 runs. No one stood up for India. Deepesh Devendran scored 36 runs in the end. India got all out on 156 runs in 26.2 overs. Ali Raza took 4 wickets. Mohammad Sayyam, Abdul Subhan, and Huzaifa Ahsan each took 2-2 wickets. Pakistan U19 won by 191 runs.

Gill was not playing due to injury, so Samson got a chance to open and grabbed it with both hands. Samson scored 37 runs in 22 balls. Abhishek, as usual, gave that strong start to India, scoring 34 runs in 21 balls.

Tilak Verma once again proved that he is perfect at number 3. Surya Kumar Yadav was seen struggling. He only scored 5 runs in 7 balls. After his dismissal, Hardik came, and he showed that he always performs in important matches. Tilak and Hardik built a 105-run partnership. Tilak scored 73 runs in 42 balls, and Hardik scored 63 runs in just 25 balls. Shivam Dube finished the innings with a boundary.

India posted a total of 231 runs. Lungi Ngidi was the only bowler who bowled really well in this match. Lungi Ngidi delivered the perfect slower ones. He only concedes 29 runs in 4 overs. 

De Kock gave a perfect start to South Africa, as he charges on Arshdeep from ball one. De Kock scored 65 runs in 35 balls.  Reeza Hendricks flops once again. Dewald Brevis scored 31 runs in 17 balls. Varun Chakarvarthy got 2-in-2, Markram and Donovan Ferreira. George Linde hit a six to Varun. 

Varun got George on the next ball. Marco was also unleashing sixes, but a smart review from Samson got him. Varun took 4 wickets, and Bumrah got 2 wickets and gave only 17 runs in 4 overs. India won by 30 runs. 

Anshul Kamboj gave a good start to Haryana, getting an early wicket of Virat Singh. But Ishan Kishan and Kumar Kushagra stood like a pole on the pitch. Ishan Kishan scored a magnificent century. Kushagra scored 81 on 38 balls. 

Anukul Roy and Robin Minz ultimately worked at the end of the innings. Anukul scored 40 runs in 20 balls, and Robin scored 31 runs in 14 balls. Haryana’s bowling looks totally off-colour. Jharkhand scored 262 runs.

Haryana, while chasing this big total, lost its captain on its first ball. Ashish Siwach also got out on a duck. Arsh Ranga struggled a lot, whereas Yashvardhan Dalal showed some big sixes. Yashvardhan scored 53 runs in 22 balls, Nishant Sindhu scored 31 runs in 15 balls, and Samant Jakhar scored 38 runs in 17 balls. 

Haryana fell short; the target was too big, and losing early wickets cost them the match. Jharkhand won by 69 runs. 

Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi opened for India. Captain Ayush Mhatre got out early on 14 runs. Vaibhav, a young talent, scored a quick 50. Vihaan Malhotra scored 7 runs only. Here come the heroes of the match, Vedant Trivedi and Abhigyan Kundu. Vedant missed a century as he scored 90 runs. Abhigyan Kundu scored a double century with 209 runs in just 125 balls.

Muhammad Akram got his fifer. N Sathnakumaran and Jaashwin Krishnamurthi each picked 1 wicket. India posted a total of 408 runs. 

Malaysia wasn’t in the game from the start. This total was like climbing himalayas without any gears. Both openers fell without scoring any runs. Muhd Afinid scored 12 runs, and Captain Deeaz Patro scored only 13 runs. In the end, Hamzah Panggi scored 35 runs,s but this was only a rock in front of a mountain. Malaysia got all out for 93 runs. Deepesh Devendran took five wicket haul. Kishan Kumar, Khilan Patel, and Kanishk Chouhan each picked up 1 wicket. Udhav Mohan picked up 2 wickets. India won by 315 runs.

Semi-Finals 1 will play between India and Sri Lanka, and Semi-Finals 2 will play between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green became the most expensive player of this auction. KKR and CSK’s bidding battle increases the price of Green. KKR bought him for ₹25.20 crore.

Chennai Super Kings made headlines by spending big on uncapped Indians. CSK bought  Parshant Veer, a 20-year-old left-arm spinner, and Kartik Sharma, a 19-year-old wicketkeeper-batter, for  ₹14.20 crore each. Both are the highest-paid uncapped Indian players ever in the auction.

Auqib Nabi Dar was sold to the Delhi Capitals for ₹8.40 crore. He was the most discussed fast bowler in domestic cricket, who had a good performance. 

Several well-known players went unsold, like Devon Conway, Jamie Smith, Jonny Bairstow, JFM, and Gurbaz. 

Some popular Indian and foreign players also went unsold in the first round. Prithvi Shaw, Sarfaraz Khan, and Liam Livingstone. Sarfaraz Khan was sold for the base price to CSK. Prithvi Shaw was bought by the Delhi Capitals at the base price. Liam Livingstone was sold to SRH for ₹13 crore.
