Through the CDS exam (I) 2022, the UPSC will select candidates for admission to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 154th (DE) Course commencing in January 2023; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala—Course commencing in January 2023 Executive Branch (General Service)/Hydro; Air Force Academy, Hyderabad—(Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in January 2023 i.e. No. 213 F(P) Course; Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) 117th SSC (Men) (NT) (UPSC) Course commencing in April 2023 and Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) 31st SSC Women (NT) (UPSC) Course commencing in April 2023.

Education Qualification for UPSC CDS (I)

The minimum educational qualification required to sit in the UPSC CDS (I) exam is graduation. Candidates who are studying in the final year/semester Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply.

The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents will be taken up only after the candidate has qualified for the interview/Personality Test.

The commission has opened the portal for women registration for UPSC NDA/NA 2021 examination, in compliance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India’s interim direction permitting women candidates to take part in the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2021 by its order dated 18/08/2021 in WP (C). No.1416/2020 filed by Kush Kalra Vs. UoI & Others.

Earlier, the UPSC NDA/NA II Exam 2021 was scheduled to be conducted on September 5, 2021, but has now been postponed to November 14, 2021. This examination will fill up 370 posts in National Defence Academy and 30 posts in Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme).

HOW TO APPLY

1. Candidates are required to apply online by using the website upsconline.nic.in

2.  The Commission has introduced the facility of withdrawal of application for those candidates who do not want to appear for the Examination.

3.  Candidate should also have details of one photo ID viz. Aadhar Card/ Voter Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ School Photo ID/Any other photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government. The same photo ID card will also have to be uploaded with the Online Application Form.

CDS is an exam organized by UPSC for the posts of  Indian Air Force Academy (IMA), Officer Training Academy (OTA), India Military Academy (IMA) & Indian Naval Academy (INA). This National Level Entrance exam is conducted twice a year, first in the Month of  February and second in the month of  November. UPSC CDS (II) 2021 will be conducted to fill up 339 posts in the organization under various courses.

Eligibility Criteria

• For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai — Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

• For Indian Naval Academy—Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.

• For Air Force Academy—Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Application Fees

Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using the net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card.

Candidates who are interested to apply for the UPSC CMS 2021 examination can apply online on the official website https://upsconline.nic.in. The Commission has also introduced the facility of withdrawal of applications for those candidates who do not want to appear for the Examination. The online applications for UPSC CMS 2021 examination can be filled up to 27th July 2021 till 6.00 P.M, and online applications can be withdrawn from 03.08.2021 to 09.08.2021 till 6.00 PM.

UPSC CMS Vacancy Details

The UPSC CMS 2021 exam will be held on November 21 to fill 838 vacancies in Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Service, Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways, General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council, General duty Medical Officer Gr-II in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, and South Delhi Municipal Corporation.

Age Limit and Eligibility criteria for UPSC CMS 2021

A candidate for this examination must not have attained the age of 32 years as of 1st August 2021, i.e. the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1989. According to the official notice, “Due to the prevailing conditions caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Union Public Service Commission has deferred the civil services (preliminary) examination, 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 27th June 2021. Now, this examination will be held on 10th October 2021,”

Civil services examination is conducted by UPSC annually in three stages — preliminary, main, and interview — to select officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.

The commission has taken the decision in view of rapidly changing circumstances, health considerations, and lockdown restrictions. In the official notification released, it is mentioned that the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EO/AO), Recruitment Test, 2020 scheduled to be held on May 09, 2021 therefore stands deferred. The Personality Tests (Interviews) of the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2020 (scheduled from 20th-23rd April 2021); the Civil Services Examination, 2020 (scheduled from 26th April-18th June 2021), and the Recruitment Tests are also deferred till further notice.

The filling of online application contains two parts. In Part I registration, the candidate will have to fill in the basic information. Part-II Registration consists of the following Stages. The filling up Payment details (except for fee exempted candidates), uploading of Photograph, Signature, Photo Identity Card Document, selection of examination center and agreeing to Declaration.

Candidates can pay application fees online, through the Credit/Debit Card/Net banking facility of any Banks, or by cash challan in SBI bank.

According to the notice issued by the Commission related to the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2020, due to the situation after the second phase of the lockdown imposed across the country due to COVID-19 and the restrictions imposed for various examinations and different posts, the process cannot be started at the moment.

We all know the Union Public Service Commission selects candidates for various services and posts under the Central Government every year through the Civil Services Examination. As part of the selection process, the candidates have to appear in the preliminary examination in the first phase and then the final phase occurs for the candidates who cleared the first phase.

The Commission has postponed the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2020. Earlier, the Indian Forest Service examination on the basis of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination has also been postponed. UPSC will announce the new date for the examination only after the third phase of the lockdown. The Commission has stated in its notice that the dates may be announced on 20 May 2020 after a review of the situation. However, the announcement will be made by the Commission at least 30 days before the date of conducting the examination.
