Saheli Teej Fest: Geetu Pahwa won Teej Queen Title

To celebrate the festival of Teej with great pomp and splendor, Saheli group organized a Teej fest at Agrasain Bhawan. Mrs. Rekha Aren, the chief guest inaugurated the event with lamp lightening. The audience enjoyed Ganesh Vandana, group and solo dance performances, ramp walk and many fun games.

Teej Queen Competition was a major attraction wherein Geetu Pahwa won the 1^st prize with title of Teej Queen and Seema Mittal 2^nd prize.

The jury for the Teej queen competition was Dr. Deepti Jain and Mrs. Suruchi Asija. Club president Mrs. Meenakshi Jain said “ these events are organized to relive our traditional festivals and to get unite and rejoice.

Saheli Club TEEJ FEST: Women dazzled in traditional attires and celebrated the festival with fanfare

With the onset of the monsoon season, the festivity season begins. To celebrate the season’s first festival TEEJ, Saheli group Teej fest was held today at the Agrasain Bhawan. The ceremony was inaugurated by the chief guest Mrs. Rekha Aren, Dr. Deepti Jain, Mrs. Suruchi Asija and Club’s President Mrs. Meenakshi Jain.

The colorful programs featured group and solo dance, fashion walk along with some fun games. The major attraction of the program was the Teej Queen competition wherein Geetu Pahwa won the 1st place and Seema Mittal 2nd place. In the jury, Mrs. Suruchi Asija and Dr. Deepti Jain were there. The program was hosted by Vishal Jindal.

Saheli Group going to celebrate Teej Fest on 28th July

With the season of festivities, here again, preparations have begun to celebrate Teej and Rakhi festival. To make these festivals special, Teej Fest 2019 is being organized by Saheli group on 28th July at Agrasain Bhawan. The group’s chief Meenakshi Jain said that fest will have TEEJ Queen, TEEJ princess, Solo dance contest for the public. Ladies can indulge in shopping for handicrafts, games and taste different food stalls in the Teej fest 2019.

This year, Hariyali Teej will be celebrated on 3rd August 2019. The festival is believed to be an auspicious occasion for married women because it is celebrated as the reunion of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Teej is celebrated during the month of Sawan as it welcomes the monsoon.
