The carmaker is the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League this year, and there will be a special model that will be auctioned off to fans, with the money benefiting conservation work in Kaziranga. While the firm has not stated what makes the Punch Kaziranga Edition unique, we anticipate learning more about it closer to the start of the IPL season.

In a statement, Tata Motors said, “This “one-of-a-kind” SUV will be auctioned off exclusively to fans and the proceeds from this shall benefit the conservation efforts at Kaziranga. The new Punch Kaziranga Edition will be a limited-edition model, with only one unit being made. The new model will very certainly be based on the top-of-the-line ‘Creative’ trim. The new model is painted in a one-of-a-kind ‘Meteor Bronze’ finish.
The car appears to be nearly identical to the standard variant. The Tata Punch’s standard variants have a rhino badge on the rear windscreen and inside the glovebox. The Kaziranga National Park is known for One-Horned Rhinos.

The Tata Punch compact SUV is off to a good start, and sales have been exceeding the company’s expectations. In fact, the model constituted a big part of Tata’s overall sales in the last two months, when monthly sales surpassed 40,000 for the first time in the company’s history.

The Tata Punch Kaziranga Edition will be powered by the same 1.2L 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that powers the regular model. The Tata Punch offers Automatic headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, optional iRA connectivity, a semi-digital instrument console, climate control, cruise control, Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors, with a rear parking camera available on higher trim levels.

The official booking of the Tata Punch has also started from today. Interested customers can book this micro SUV by paying an amount of Rs 21,000.

The all new Tata micro SUV works on Start/Stop technology, which automatically stops its engine when it stops at a traffic signal. The SUV is offered in four different Persona trims, which include Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative Persona.

The Tata Punch is offered with only one engine option. In this, the company has used a naturally aspirated petrol engine with 3 cylinders with a capacity of 1.2 liters, which generates 86hp power and 113Nm torque. This engine comes with a 5-speed manual and automatic gearbox.

Size of Micro SUV

If we talk about the size of the Tata micro SUV Punch, it has a length of 3,827mm, width 1,742mm, height 1,615mm and has a wheelbase of 2,445mm. It offers a ground clearance of 187mm and the boot space of 366 liters capacity. The Tata Punch SUV has been built on the ALFA architecture platform and it also has a 90-degree opening door.
