Gaming accessories maker company Razer is going to place face mask vending machines in Singapore to fight against COVID-19 pandemic. This corporate social responsibility campaign started by Razer, as a part of their effort to combat COVID-19 pandemic. Razer named this campaign #RAZER_FOR_LIFE. This initiative is taken the address the shortage of masks in Southeast Asia.

[SINGAPORE – ONLY] With our new mask production capabilities, in addition to our global mask donation efforts, we will be making one free mask available to all Singaporeans. Details here: https://t.co/A6kMcctugS pic.twitter.com/l0GL3RtHKr
— R Λ Z Ξ R (@Razer) May 12, 2020

Razer company is known for its gaming gears such as keyboard, mouse, headsets, laptops and many more. The company has already placed a fully automatic face mask production line in Singapore. Company officially published a blog on this initiative in which the company has written that “Razer has committed plans to set up Singapore’s first fully automated mask production and packing line. This is to alleviate the severe shortage of masks faced around the world, particularly in the Southeast Asia region”.

These face masks produced by Razer will be made to observe the highest standards and assembled in a highly controlled environment (certified from international standards) and address issues faced by many face masks in the market that are not properly manufactured, do not meet proper certifications and offer little to no protection to the users.

The company will run a beta test from May 12, 2020, to June 2, 2020, with a full-scale deployment to follow after the Circuit Breaker measures are eased. Company is estimating up to 5 Million masks will be given out through this campaign. Local Singaporeans can collect their masks from #RazerforLife vending machines by just a simple verification on company’s Razer Pay App.
The post Razer to deploy mask vending machines for Singaporeans first appeared on Jugaadin News .

Singaporeans are now able to step outside from their home because the Singaporean government has given some break from the lockdown in the country. After the lockdown break, people of Singapore are now going to the parks for some hangouts.

At the Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park in Singapore, people encountered an unusual sight of a yellow coloured robotic dog, patrolling in the park and delivering a message regarding maintaining some social distance to the park saunters.

The yellow coloured robotic dog in non-other than the Boston Dynamic robot dog “SPOT”. The robotic dog is at two weeks trial from Friday (8th May.) Singapore’s National Parks Board (NParks) and the Smart Nation and Digital Government Group are partnering on the pilot trial, which is scheduled to run for two weeks.

SPOT work is to stroll in the park and remind park visitors to maintain social distance in the park. NParks and SNDGG deployed SPOT over a 3-km stretch in the River Plains section of Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park for two weeks during off-peak hours. The SPOT used to broadcast a recorded message to remind park visitors to observe safe social distancing measures.

According to tech government Singapore, SPOT will be controlled remotely, reducing the manpower required for park patrols and minimising physical contact among staff, volunteer safe distancing ambassadors and park visitors. This lowers the risk of exposure to the virus. Unlike wheeled robots, SPOT works well across different terrains and can navigate obstacles effectively, making it ideal for operation in public parks and gardens.
The post Robot dog Spot is now on duty at Singapore park reminding visitors to maintain social distancing first appeared on Jugaadin News .
