The India vs South Africa 5-match T20I series was standing at 2-1 before this match, 1 match was abandoned due to excessive fog. South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Gill was not playing due to injury, so Samson got a chance to open and grabbed it with both hands. Samson scored 37 runs in 22 balls. Abhishek, as usual, gave that strong start to India, scoring 34 runs in 21 balls.

Tilak Verma once again proved that he is perfect at number 3. Surya Kumar Yadav was seen struggling. He only scored 5 runs in 7 balls. After his dismissal, Hardik came, and he showed that he always performs in important matches. Tilak and Hardik built a 105-run partnership. Tilak scored 73 runs in 42 balls, and Hardik scored 63 runs in just 25 balls. Shivam Dube finished the innings with a boundary.

India posted a total of 231 runs. Lungi Ngidi was the only bowler who bowled really well in this match. Lungi Ngidi delivered the perfect slower ones. He only concedes 29 runs in 4 overs.

De Kock gave a perfect start to South Africa, as he charges on Arshdeep from ball one. De Kock scored 65 runs in 35 balls. Reeza Hendricks flops once again. Dewald Brevis scored 31 runs in 17 balls. Varun Chakarvarthy got 2-in-2, Markram and Donovan Ferreira. George Linde hit a six to Varun.

Varun got George on the next ball. Marco was also unleashing sixes, but a smart review from Samson got him. Varun took 4 wickets, and Bumrah got 2 wickets and gave only 17 runs in 4 overs. India won by 30 runs.

South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl first. It was a good decision because of the dew. India has lost the toss in 19 consecutive ODIs. Jaiswal and Rohit opened for India. Jaiswal scored 18 and got out on a beautiful outswing ball by Nandre Burger.

Rohit and Kohli built a partnership. Tony dropped an easy catch of Rohit Sharma. After that, Rohit and Kohli scored quick runs. Rohit surpasses the record of most sixes held by Shahid Afridi. Virat Kohli looked so good; he looked so comfortable hitting sixes and boundaries. Rohit scored 57 and got out to Marco Jensen.

Ruturaj and Washington weren’t able to score much. Rahul and Kohli built a partnership. Virat Kohli scored 135 runs in 120 balls. Rahul scored 60 runs. Ravindra Jadeja scored 32 runs in the end. India scored a total of 349 runs. It was not a good total for these conditions.

Harshit Rana took Rickelton wickets on his first ball and De Kock wickets on the third ball. Arshdeep got Markram’s wicket in the fifth over. Breetzke and Tony built a partnership. But Kuldeep Yadav took Tony’s wicket. Brevis and Marco Jensen also scored quick runs and kept hope alive for South Africa. Kuldeep Yadav took Breetzke and Marco’s wicket. Brevis was out while hitting six to Harshit Rana. Corbin Bosch made this chase last over. India won by 17 runs.

India once again lost the toss. India lost the last 18 tosses. This time, Australia chose to bat first.

Australia starts quite well. Mitchell Marsh and Head gave a comfortable start, but then Siraj took Head’s wicket. Head scored 29 runs. Axar bowled out the Australian captain with a strict line and length. Marsh scored 41 runs.

Mathew Short and Renshaw built a partnership. Short got out on Washington’s ball. Short scored 30 runs. Renshaw hit a fifty and was trying to increase the scoring got LBW by Washington. Alex Carey scored 24 runs and got out on Harshit Rana’s ball, but all credit goes to Shreyas Iyer for this wicket. Iyer took an amazing catch running backwards.

Harshit Rana showed his flair today with his hit-the-deck bowling, taking 4 wickets. Washington got 2, and Prasidh, Kuldeep, Siraj, and Axar picked 1 wicket each.

India’s start was also good, and both the openers looked good while batting. But Josh Hazlewood, with his test match line-length, got the Indian captain’s wicket. Gill scored 24 runs.

Ro-Ko ends all the discussion and noise. Both looked so comfortable while batting. Rohit scored 121 runs in 125 balls, and chase master Virat Kohli scored 74 runs in 81 balls. Ro-Ko gave fans a happy moment in the last ODI. India won by 9 wickets.

Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first. India and toss are like the North and South poles. India lost 17 tosses in a row. India’s start was not good. The Indian batter struggled a lot. Struggled and ended early for Captain Shubman Gill, Xavier Bartlett took his wicket. Virat Kohli once again goes for a duck on Xavier’s ball.

Rohit and Shreyas built a partnership and stabilised the innings. Rohit got out on a poor ball from Starc. Rohit scored 73 on 97 balls. Shreyas Iyer got bowled out while trying to hit six to Adam Zampa. Iyer scored 61 runs on 77 balls.

Axar scored 44 runs, and at the end of the innings, Harshit Rana and Arshdeep hit some crucial runs. India posted a total of 264 runs. Mitchell Starc took 2 wickets, Xavier took 3 wickets, and Zampa picked 4 wickets.

Australia’s start was also not great. Arshdeep gave them a tough time and took Mitchell Marsh’s wicket. Head also got out on Harshit Rana’s ball. Matthew Short and Renshaw built a partnership to stabilise the innings. India dropped 2 catches of Short, which cost the match. India again came to the game with the spin, but Cooper Connolly and Mitchell Owen changed the game in just a few overs with their fine hitting.

The match was one-sided, with MI dominating both with the bat and the ball.

https://twitter.com/IPL/status/1914010125943333212

CSK Batting IPL 2025: Ruturaj and Shivam Dube Anchor the Innings

After winning the toss, CSK chose to bat first. Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad gave CSK a steady start, scoring 48 off 36 balls. Shivam Dube played a fiery knock, smashing 52 runs in just 29 balls, including 4 sixes. CSK posted a decent total of 176/5 in 20 overs.

However, MI bowlers did well in the last five overs, especially Jasprit Bumrah and Gerald Coetzee, who slowed down the scoring rate and took key wickets.

MI’s Batting IPL 2025: Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma Steal the Show

MI’s opening duo, Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma, came out aggressively. Kishan scored a quick 68 off 34 balls, while Rohit anchored the innings with an unbeaten 76 off 51 balls. The pair added 120 runs for the first wicket.

MI chased down the target of 177 in just 15.4 overs, losing only one wicket. The CSK bowlers looked helpless against the clean hitting from MI batters.

Match Highlights:

Player of the Match: Ishan Kishan (68 runs, 4 sixes)

Best Bowler: Jasprit Bumrah (2/24)

Turning Point: 120-run opening partnership

Mumbai Indians made a strong statement with this win, jumping up in the IPL 2025 points table. On the other hand, CSK will need to bounce back quickly in their next game. This classic MI vs CSK rivalry once again proved why it’s the biggest battle in IPL.
The post IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians Beat Chennai Super Kings by 9 Wickets on April 20 first appeared on Jugaadin News .

This thrilling encounter kept fans on the edge of their seats until the final over.

IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans Set a Competitive Total

Opting to bat first, GT posted a total of 168 for six in their 20 overs. Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a brisk 31 off 22 balls, setting a solid foundation. Sai Sudharsan anchored the innings with a composed 45 from 39 deliveries, ensuring stability in the middle order. Rahul Tewatia provided a late surge, scoring 22 off 15 balls, which propelled GT to a competitive total. MI’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah, who marked his return with impressive figures of 3 for 14, including the crucial wickets of Wriddhiman Saha and David Miller. Debutant Gerald Coetzee also made an impact, claiming 2 for 27.

IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians’ Chase Falls Short

Chasing 169, MI faced an early setback as Ishan Kishan was dismissed for a duck. However, a resilient 77-run partnership between Rohit Sharma (43 off 29) and Dewald Brevis (46 off 38) steadied the innings, putting MI in a favorable position. The momentum shifted when Sai Kishore trapped Rohit leg-before, followed by Mohit Sharma dismissing Brevis and Tim David in quick succession. Despite a late cameo from captain Hardik Pandya, who struck a six and a four in the final over, MI fell short, finishing at 162 for nine.

Key Performances and Turning Points:

IPL T20

Sai Sudharsan’s Steady Knock: His 45 runs provided the backbone for GT’s innings, ensuring they had a defendable total.

Bumrah’s Bowling Brilliance: Returning from injury, Bumrah’s economical spell and key wickets kept MI in contention.

GT’s Death Bowling: The combined efforts of Mohit Sharma and Umesh Yadav in the final overs stifled MI’s chase, with Umesh dismissing Pandya at a critical juncture.

This victory marks a positive start for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 season, showcasing their ability to perform under pressure. Mumbai Indians, despite the loss, displayed moments of brilliance, particularly through their bowling attack and the partnership between Rohit and Brevis. Both teams will look to build on this experience as the tournament progresses
The post IPL 2025: Sai Sudharsan Shines as GT Edge Past MI by 6 Runs first appeared on Jugaadin News .
