The film had a world premiere at the Sundance film festival, 2020, and earned six nominations at the 93rd Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor (Hopkins), and Best Supporting Actress (Colman). At the 78th Golden Globe Awards also, the film received four nominations, including Best Motion Picture – Drama.

The Father movie is co-written and directed by Florian Zeller, based on his 2012 play Le Père.

This comedy-drama will be released in India by PVR Pictures.

 The Personal History of David Copperfield is directed by Filmmaker Armando Iannucci’s is based on the 1850 literary classic David Copperfield by Charles Dickens.

 Along with Dev Patel, the other characters in the movie are Aneurin Barnard, Peter Capaldi, Daisy May Cooper, Morfydd Clark, Hugh Laurie, Rosalind Eleazar, Tilda Swinton, Ben Whishaw, and Paul Whitehouse. The Personal History of David Copperfield had its world premiere on 5 September 2019 at Toronto International Film Festival.

The comedy-drama The Personal History of David Copperfield revolves around the life of a  boy David Copperfield ( Dev Patel) and his colorful experiences.
