These three are the most important elements for our life. As they are granted free of cost to us by god, it is our prime responsibility to thank in return and pray to them.  The People of north India primarily Punjabis celebrated lohri with bonfire in their yards, singing, dancing, socializing around the fire eating delicious food with their relatives. They celebrate the harvesting of sugar cane, Sesame seeds, Jaggery, Radish, Mustard and Spinach and they are the primary attractions of the festivity. People make sweets called Revari and Gajak, and staples such as Sarso ka Saag with Makki ki roti.
