Waterfalls in India to visit in monsoon

1.            DudhSagar falls: Goa

Goa is famous for its beaches, but it also has 100 highest waterfalls of the world ‘DhudhSagar falls’ which is also known as ‘ocean of milk’. It is a four-tier waterfall at 310 meters height located on Mandovi- River, around 60- km from Panaji on the Goa– Karnataka Border. The view of DudhSagar falls looks like milk flowing from the hill.

2.            Bhimlat falls: Rajasthan

Rajasthan is known for rough terrain, dunes and hot afternoons, but a well-kept secret of Rajasthan is the Bhimlat Falls. The Bhimlat falls are located in Bundi village 472 km away from the capital city, Jaipur. The Bhimlat waterfall is at a height of 60 meters, which falls on the green sea lake. 3.            Kempty Falls: Mussorie

Kempty Falls in the queen of hills, Mussorie is mostly heard by everyone. It is located in Ram gaon in the Tehri Garhwal district of Uttrakhand. Kempty falls was developed in 1835 by the British Officer John Mekinan. The name kempty is taken from the word ‘camp-tea’. The Kempty falls is located at an altitude of 4500 feet. 4. Shivansamudra falls, Karnataka

Shivansamudra falls is situated on the banks of the Kaveri River. The flow of the waterfall is divided and broken into separate streams by rocks and ravines. 5.            Noh-kali kai falls, Meghalaya

Meghalaya is the wettest state of India, Noh kali kai falls with a height of about 1100 meters is located in Cheerapunji which is 7 km away from Meghalaya. The word ‘Nohkalikai’ is taken from the local Khasi language. Noh-kali-Kai falls has a unique feature that its water turns blue in winters and green in summers.

6.            Iruppu Falls, Coorg
