Mahindra says the Supro ambulance is equipped with essential equipment such as a foldable stretcher cum trolley, medical kit box, provision for oxygen cylinders, internal lighting with fire extinguishers, flame-resistant interiors. On the outside, the vehicle is equipped with AIS 125 certified retro-reflector decals, 75% frosted windows, and a beacon light with a siren.

Pawan Goenka, MD of Mahindra & Mahindra has presented 12 Mahindra Supro Ambulance to Maharashtra Government. These ambulances will be deployed to serve various hospitals in Mumbai. Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray’s son and Minister Aditya Thackeray tweeted and thanked Mahindra CEO Anand Mahindra and MD Pawan Goenka. These vehicles have been handed over to the BMC by CM UddhavThackeray.

Aditya Thackeray has tweeted that the Maharashtra government is buying 80 ambulances which will have a variety of emergency facilities. He also thanked other ministers of the government for purchasing the ambulance. He also thanked Deepak Fertilizers and Tata Trusts for their help.

Uddhav said that on his request, Anand Mahindra immediately arranged for a special ambulance, he is grateful to him for this cooperation. The pressure on government resources has increased significantly due to increasing cases of corona infection in Maharashtra. In such a situation, this ambulance can prove to be very helpful.
