The plot revolves around seven-year-old Momoji, who is caught between his parents and his caring grandparents, and the key dilemma that arises is, “Who holds the moral claim?” This is the pivot of the riveting story, practically every household faces but is rarely openly discussed.

The movie depicts, who is more important for a child, biological parents or loving and caring biological grandparents.

‘Shastry Virudh Shastry’ is the Hindi remake of the hit Bengali film ‘Posto’. The film featured Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Mimi Chakraborty, Jisshu Sengupta, and Paran Bandopadhyay.

In Sharmaji Namkeen, Rishi Kapoor’s unfinished role has been completed by Paresh Rawal. After the death of Rishi Kapoor,  Paresh Rawal has completed its shooting. Rishi Kapoor died on 30 April 2020 due to leukemia.

Sharma ji Namkeen is Hitesh Bhatia’s directorial debut. Juhi Chawla is also going to appear in an important role in the film. The film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Honey Trehan, Abhishek Chaubey and co-produced by Kasim Jagmagia.
