Important Decisions taken in the meeting are:

1. NEET-PG 2021 is postponed for at least 4 months & the exam will not be held before 31st August 2021. Students will also be given at least one month of time after the announcement of the exam before it is conducted. This will make a large number of qualified doctors available for Covid duties.

2. To deploy Medical Interns in COVID Management duties under the supervision of their faculty. The services of Final Year MBBS students can be utilized for providing services like teleconsultation and monitoring of mild Covid cases after due orientation by and under supervision of the Faculty. 

3. The services of Final Year PG Students (broad as well as super-specialties) as residents may continue to be utilized until fresh batches of PG Students have joined.

4. B.Sc./GNM Qualified Nurses may be utilized in full-time Covid nursing duties under the supervision of Senior Doctors and Nurses.

5. The individuals providing services in COVID management will be given priority in forthcoming regular Government recruitments after they complete a minimum of 100 days of COVID duty. 

6. All such professionals who sign up for a minimum of 100 days of COVID duty and complete it successfully will also be given the Prime Minister’s Distinguished COVID National Service Samman from the Government of India.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan mentioned in the tweet that in view of the rising Covid-19 epidemic, the Government of India has decided to postpone the NEET PG 2021 exam. This examination was earlier to be held on 18 April. Now its new date will be decided after reviewing the circumstances. This decision has been taken by taking care of the health of the medical students.

The National Board of Examination (NBE), which organizes NEET PG, had released the admit card of the examination on its official website on Tuesday. The examination was postponed two days later. The new date will be announced later.

NBE conducts the NEET PG entrance examination for admission to postgraduate medical courses. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the entrance exam, known as the NEET-UG, for admission to undergraduate medical courses.

NEET PG candidates will have to carry their admit card with their photo attached to it. A photocopy of the permanent/provisional SMC / MCI registration to be submitted to the test center and an original photo identity proof will also be required for candidates.

Interested candidates can fill the Application form for NEET-PG 2021 online at https://nbe.edu.in from 23rd February 2021 (From 3:00 PM) to 15th March 2021 (till 11:55 PM). NEET PG 2021 Admit cards will be issued on April 12 and the result will be declared by May 31.
