About Nari Shakti Puraskar

Nari Shakti Puraskar is given by the President on International Women’s day every year. Those females who are working for women empowerment and established a place in society after clearing many hurdles and encouraging other women to fulfil their dreams are awarded. The award carries a certificate and a cash amount of rupees Two Lakh per awardee. The maximum number of awards (including individual and institutional) could be 15.

Nari Shakti Puraskar 2021 Nominations

Nominations are invited from both individuals and institutions till January 31, 2022. Applications/ Nominations will be accepted only through online mode and may be filed at the portal www.awards.gov.in. The nominations are scrutinized and screened by the screening committee and then the final list will be presented. The final selection of the Awardees is made by a Selection Committee, chaired by the Union Minister of Women and Child Development, on the basis of recommendations of the Screening Committee.
