Khattar Govt. announce weekend Lockdown in Haryana; check out details

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar addresses a press meet today and announced a strict lockdown for the weekend starting from Friday, April 30 to May 3 morning in 9 districts of the state namely, Panchkula, Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Rohtak, Karnal, Hisar, Sirsa, and Fatehabad during which all kinds of movement, except essentials services, will remain suspended.

Haryana Government announces a weekend lockdown to curb rising Covid-19 cases in nine districts starting from 10:00 PM on April 30 till 05:00 AM on April 3.

During the Weekend Lockdown, movement of following persons and services shall be exempted:

Municipal committee staff, Executive Magistrate, Police Personnel, Military Personnel, health, electricity, fire, Media (Accredited), and Government machinery tasked with COVID-19 related duties.

Hisarians rock the Raahgiri stage on Haryanvi Songs

On Sunday in state-level RAAHGIRI organized at HAU, HISAR residents enjoyed and played endlessly. Badminton, chess, kabaddi, kho-kho and many other sports activities attracted the residents. Live performances on Haryanvi songs by MD-KD, RamMaher Mehla, Anu Kadyan, Sam Vee and Sonali Phogat forced them to dance on the beats. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar grace the event and awarded the districts for providing their valuable contribution in making RAAHGIRI successful. Hisar RAAHGIRI team got the 3^rd position in the highest number of participation after Gurugram and Karnal.

In the midst of HAU greenery, everyone was enjoying to the core. School, college students were seen doing yoga and playing games. The theme for the RAAHGIRI was “JANSHAKTI JAL SHAKTI” which gives the beautiful message of saving water. Many schools and college students gave a performance and amused the crowd. The chief guest was welcomed by song presentation from Presidium school students, an energetic and heart throbbing bhangra by Bhangra planet, Kathak performance by OPJMS students. The event was hosted by anchor Vishal Jindal.

HISAR RAAHGIRI TEAM WON 3RD PLACE IN MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION AT RAAHGIRI

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar presented an award to HISAR RAAHGIRI TEAM, at a Raahgiri Day event for their support to the successful flagship building program. The award was presented to Deputy commissioner Ashok Kumar Meena and Superintendent of police Shiv charan. A state-level award function was organized at RAAHGIRI, Hisar on Sunday to give away the top performers in different categories.

HISAR won third place for the most number of people to participate in the initiative after Gurugram(1,72,000) and Karnal (1,53,000). Across Hisar, about 81,000 people have participated in Raahgiri Day. Raahgiri day provides a platform for people where they can enjoy different games and activities like yoga, skating, ludo, chess, carom, music, dance. The Raahgiri day initiated not just for fun and enjoyment, else it brings people together and makes them aware of past culture and values that are extinct nowadays.

MD, KD, Ram Mehar mehla, Sonali Phogat and Anu Kadyan joined participants in HAU Raahgiri and entertained residents on their live performances.
