"Love Sonia" is a film inspired by real life events. It has a strong cast including --- Freida Pinto, Richa Chadha, Anupam Kher, Adil Hussain, Sai Tamhankar and Raj Kumar Rao  . Mrunal Thakur plays the main role of Sonia a naive village girl who gets involved in the dark world of prostitution and human trafficking. The film also stars American actor Mark Duplass and Golden Globe Award nominated actress Demi Moore.
Love Sonia was named the Best Indian film at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne
