Kriti Sanon plays the role of a surrogate mother in Mimi directed by Laxman Utekar. Kriti Sanon has worked with Laxman Utekar previously in Luka Chhupi also. The Mimi first look poster shares the official glimpse of Kriti Sanon’s character in the movie. She is a surrogate mother in Mimi. The poster features Kriti Sanon and a baby bump, made with an inverted question mark.

Mimi is inspired by the 2010 Marathi movie Mala Aai Vhhaychy (won National Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi in the year 2011 which featured Samruddhi Porey, Urmila Kanitkar, Sulabha Deshpande and Stacy Bee in lead roles. Actors Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak, and Pankaj Tripathi are also a part of the movie Mimi. The official trailer of the movie Mimi is releasing on July 13.
