During the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), the movie had its premiere and became the first Indian movie to receive this honor.  Kalki 2898 A.D. stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas and Kamal Haasan. The movie’s title and teaser were released at the event on July 20. In the opening scene of the movie, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Prabhas are seen fighting evil forces while entrapped in a future planet. On January 12, 2024 Kalki 2898 AD will be released.

Nag Ashwin, who also worked on Mahanati, wrote and directed the film Kalki 2898 AD. On the occasion of Vyjayanthi Movies’ 50th anniversary, this sci-fi movie was announced. Kalki 2898 A.D. is the most costly Indian movie ever, with a budget of Rs 600 crore.

Kalki 2898 A.D. is simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi. On 19 July 2023, the film’s first look was released. It received a negative response and was later deleted by makers from social media handles and uploaded with some changes which also received criticism.
