In the trailer, it is shown that Nooran is traveling a long distance singing the scorpion song in the deserts of Rajasthan to save the lives of the people who are bitten by scorpions.

In the movie, Golshifteh Farahani is playing the role of a tribal woman Nooran. Actress Waheeda Rehman is acting as her grandmother (Zubaida) & actor Irrfan Khan as Aadam, a camel rider. 

 ‘The Song of scorpions’ is based on the story of a tribal woman who is learning the art of becoming a scorpion singer like her grandmother. Aadam falls in love with Nooran when he listens to her song. Before getting married, a  tragedy happens to her and their plan gets cancelled.  The story is set in the Thar desert, Rajasthan.

The producers of the song of scorpions are Saskia Vischer, Shahaf Peled and Michel Merkt. Golshifteh Farahani, Irrfan Khan, Waheeda Rehman, and Shashank Arora are starring in the film. Pietro Zuercher is the cinematographer of the movie. The film is produced by Feather Light Films production company.

The actor Irrfan died in April 2020 after completing the shooting of the movie. The Song of Scorpions is ready to hit the screens on 28 April 2023 a day before Irrfan Khan’s third death anniversary.

Filmmaker Shoojit sircar, one of his close friends tweeted and gave the information of his death “My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil.. you too fought, Sutapa you gave everything possible in this fight. Peace and Om Shanti. Irfaan Khan salute,” he wrote.

Irrfan khan was a versatile and proclaimed actor not in India but across the globe. He gave many hit films that include Academy Award-nominated Salaam Bombay!, Maqbool, Paan Singh Tomar, The Lunchbox, Haider, Gunday, Piku, Talvar and Hindi Medium. Recently, he has seen in Angrezi Medium with Kareena Kapoor and Radhika Madan. His performance in movies Namesake, Slumdog Millionaire, The Life of Pi is memorable.

In the trailer of the movie Angrezi Medium, Irrfan Khan is seen as a single father, whose daughter is dreaming to study abroad. The movie revolves around how Irrfan Khan sends his daughter abroad. In the movie, a strong bond between Father and Daughter can be seen. Kareena Kapoor Khan also plays a strong character in the movie. The film is scheduled to be released on 20th March 2020.
