Good news for all aspiring candidates who have a dream of serving the nation by becoming a part of the esteemed Air Force. IAF has released the online application form for the 3500 posts of Agniveer Vayu 2023. Agniveers once enrolled into the Indian Air Force, will be governed under the Air Force Act 1950, for four years. 

The Air Force Agniveer Application Online Link will be activated from 27th July 2023 at https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in/.  

IMPORTANT DATES

1. Candidates can start applying online for IAF Agniveer Vayu from  27th July 2023. The last date for registration is the 17th of August, 2023.

2. Last date for paying fees is the 17th of August, 2023.

3. Exam will be conducted from the 13th of October, 2023.

4. For the admit card, candidates have to wait for the notification.

APPLICATION FEES

1. Those candidates who belong to the General/OBC/EWS category have to pay ₹250/-

2. Those candidates who belong to SC/ST category have to pay ₹250/-

3. Candidates can pay the fees online through Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.

AIR FORCE AGNIVEER VAYU AGE LIMIT

1. The minimum age to apply for registration is 17.5 years. 

2. Maximum age to apply for the registration is 23 years.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION  CRITERIA FOR SCIENCE SUBJECT 

1. Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with minimum 50% Marks. Core subjects should be Mathematics, Physics, and English.

                                    OR

2. Candidates should have completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) with minimum 50% Marks. In addition 50% Marks in English in Diploma Course. 

                                     OR

3. Candidates should have completed a 2-year Vocation with a Non-Vocational Course subject Physics and Math from any recognized Board with 50% Marks Aggregate and 50% Marks in English.

BENEFITS OF AGNIVEER

1. Agniveers can serve the nation for a time period of 4 years. 

2. Agniveers will be provided life insurance of ₹48 Lakhs for the duration of their engagement period as Agniveers in the Indian Air Force. 

3. After the completion of the time period of Agniveers, a skill set certificate will be given to them by Indian Air. 

4. Candidates will be given Annual leave of 30 days of sick leave based on medical advice.

STEPS TO FILL INDIAN AIR FORCE AGNIVEER RECRUITMENT 2023 Form

All interested candidates can fill out the registration from between 27/07/2023 to 17/08/2023

Step 1 – Visit the official website of the Air Force Agniveer at https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in/. 

Step 2 – Click on Air Force Agniveer Application Form for Vayu intake 1/2024

Step 3 – Login to fill in the required details such as Username/ Email and Password. 

Step 4 – Attach the documents required and click on the Submit button. 

Step 5 – Pay the required application fees, if asked. 

Step 6 – Take a printout of the final application form for the further process.

AFCAT 1 2023: About AFCAT Exam

IAF conducts Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) twice in a year, in the form of AFCAT 1 and AFCAT 2. The AFCAT exam is an online exam. AFCAT 1 is conducted at the beginning of the year and the second paper is conducted in August. Candidates who are selected after clearing the AFCAT exam are given the Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC).

The AFCAT exam is conducted for 2 branches-

• FLYING BRANCH

• GROUND DUTY

Ground duty is also divided into two parts-

• Technical

• Non-Technical.

Students can apply for Short Service Commission in the Flying Branch, which is of 14 years duration with no further extension. Students of any stream can give the AFCAT exam.

AFCAT 1 2023: Eligibility

 Students who are graduated or are in the last year of their graduation year can give the AFCAT exam. 

Eligibility for the Flying branch–

• Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 50 percent in Physics and Mathematics

• At least 60% marks the four-year graduation or integrated post-graduation degree in Engineering from a recognized university. 

• NCC students can also apply to the flying branches.

Eligibility for the Ground branch-

Technical-

• Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 50 percent in Physics and Mathematics

• Candidates having an NCC certificate can apply to the flying branches.

• B. Tech students or engineering students can apply in the ground (technical) branch.

• Minimum 60% marks in a four-year graduation degree.

Non-Technical-

• 50 percent marks in physics and mathematics subjects in class 12.

• Graduation with any discipline from a recognized University.

• Minimum 60% marks in graduation.

AFCAT 1 2023: Age Group

For Flying Branch-

Candidate age should be 20 to 24 years as of 01 Jan 2024 i.e. Born between 02 Jan 2000 on 01 Jan 2004.

For Ground Duty-

The age of the candidate should be 20 to 26 years as on January 01, 2024.

On Sept 9, Thursday, Defence minister Rajnath Singh along with Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) for the Indian Air Force (IAF) at Satta-Gandhav stretch on NH-925A near Barmer, Rajasthan.

Speaking at the event, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the efforts of IAF, NHAI & the private sector for completing the construction of the Emergency Landing Field (ELF) in 19 months despite COVID-19 restrictions. He further said the landing of IAF aircraft on the 3 km stretch is a historic new strength of New India, as it coincides with the 75^th year of Independence and 50^th year of India’s victory in the 1971 war.

Apart from the Emergency Landing Strip, three helipads have been constructed in Kundanpura, Singhania & Bakhasar villages under this project as per the requirements of the Armed Forces, informed Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. This project will improve connectivity between villages of Barmer & Jalore districts located on the international border. The stretch located in the western border area will facilitate the vigilance of the Indian Army and strengthen the basic infrastructure of the country.

The NHAI has developed the three-kilometer section as an ELF for Indian Air Force. It is part of the newly-developed two-lane paved shoulder of Gagariya-Bakhasar & Satta-Gandhav Section having a total length of 196.97 kilometers and costing Rs 765.52 crore under Bharatmala Pariyojana. The work commenced in July 2019 and was completed in January 2021.
