According to the official notice,  GATE 2023 exam will be conducted from 4th to 12th February 2023. The admit card will be uploaded on the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in on January 3. 

GATE is a national-level exam. GATE is an exam that tests a candidate’s comprehensive understanding of engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce and arts subjects, etc. The GATE exam score is used for admission to postgraduate and doctoral programs in IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, and IISc Bangalore, and for PSU recruitment.

GATE 2023: Exam Pattern 

The GATE 2023 exam will be conducted for 29 papers. There will be two types of questions in the paper- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

GATE 2023: Exam Schedule

• On February 4, 2023, the exam will be conducted in two sessions – 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. In the first session Computer Science and Information Technology CS exam will be conducted and in the second session Architecture and Planning – AR, and Mechanical Engineering – ME exams will be conducted.

• Electrical Engineering – EE, Environmental Science, and Engineering – ES, Humanities and Social Sciences – XH will be conducted in the first forenoon shift on February 5, 2023, and Biomedical Engineering – BM, Chemistry – CY, Electronics and Communication Engineering in the second-afternoon shift – EC’s exam will be conducted.

• Similarly, on February 11, 2023, Geology and Geophysics – GG, Instrumentation Engineering – IN, Mathematics – MA, Petroleum Engineering – PE, Engineering Sciences – XE, Life Sciences – XL will be conducted in the Forenoon Shift and Aerospace Engineering – in the Afternoon Shift AE, Agricultural Engineering – AE, Biotechnology – BT, Chemical Engineering – CH, Ecology and Evolution – EY, Geomatics Engineering – GE, Metallurgical Engineering – MT, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering – NM, Physics – PH, Production and Industrial Engineering – PI, Textile Engineering and Fiber Science – TF exam will be held.

• February 12, 2023, is the last exam of GATE 2023 in which the Civil Engineering Set 1 – CE1, Statistics – ST exam will be conducted on the Forenoon Shift, and Civil Engineering Set 2 – CE2, Mining Engineering – MN exam will be conducted in Afternoon Shift.

GATE 2023: Answer key and Scorecard

Applicants’ exam answer keys will be released between February 22 to February 25, 2023, and candidates can check them by visiting the official website. GATE 2023 exam results will be declared on March 16, 2023. On March 21, 2023, students can download the scorecard from the official website.

In the meeting, the process of converting the existing Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) nitrogen plants for the production of oxygen was discussed. In nitrogen plants, Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) is used whereas Zeolite Molecular Sieve (ZMS) is required for producing oxygen. Therefore, by replacing CMS with ZMS and carrying out few other changes such as oxygen analyzer, control panel system, flow valves, etc. existing nitrogen plants can be modified to produce oxygen.

 So far 14 industries have been identified where the conversion of plants is under progress, and, Further 37 Nitrogen plants have been also identified with the help of industry associations.

Recently, the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-B) set up a demonstration unit to convert nitrogen generators, into oxygen generators by fine-tuning the existing nitrogen plant set up.

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has released the answer key along with the question papers of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2021 on its official website. Candidates who have appeared for the GATE 2021, can check their answers from the link given on the website.

From 2nd to 4th March 2021, candidates can challenge the answer keys with detailed descriptions and proof by paying 500 per question on the GOAPS portal using their own login credentials like in previous years. Please note that the question number and answer key/range to be mentioned in the challenge portal of GOAPS MUST be of the published ones given here and NOT that of the response sheet of the candidate.  Final answer keys/ranges will be published around 18th March 2021, after reviewing all challenges by the GATE 2021 committee. If any challenge is accepted by the committee, a full refund will be made to the candidate for the respective accepted challenge, after the publication of the final answer keys. However, NO refund will be made to the candidate for those challenges which are NOT accepted, mentioned by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

How to Download GATE 2021 Admit Card

To download GATE 2021 Admit Card, a candidate first has to click on the official website gate.iitb.ac.in and then on the link reading GATE 2021 Admit card.  Then they have to enter their login details like enrolment number/email address and password to get the GATE 2021 admit card.

A candidate can download his/her admit card, take a print out of the same and carry it to the venue of examination as eligibility proof for the examination. The result for the GATE 2021 is scheduled to release on March 22, 2021.
