Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar Chief Minister of Haryana officially inaugurated the Hisar Airport on Independence Day 15th August 2018. It was an incredible gift given to Hisar people. They were waiting for it since 48 years. The announcement of the airport was done on 29 December 2014 and it got completed in 2018.It took almost 3 years to make this dream come true.The flights will become functional from October. The inauguration took place at 12.30pm and at 1.00 pm.

 

In a press conference CM told that may be we can convert this airport into International Airport. As London has made four International Airport around it in order to slow down London Air traffic on the same lines 4 international Airport can be made around Delhi to slow down the Delhi Air traffic. The distance between two international airport should be 150km and the distance between Hisar and Delhi is 151 km so the location of His arms is an added advantage. At the moment the people of Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad and Punjab can get flight from Hisar to Delhi, and Chandigarh at a low cost of Rs 1450 only. Along with,  Kamal Gupta ( Chairman, H.B.P.E, )  , Subhash Barala and Captain Abhimanyu ( Finance Minster Haryana )  were also present on this occasion.
