										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Govardhan Puja</strong> is performed on the next day of Diwali i.e. <strong>Deepawali or Diwali</strong>. It is also known as <strong>Annakoot or Annakut.</strong> This year Govardhan festival is being celebrated on <strong>28 October</strong>. <strong>Lord Krishna (Sri Krishna), Govardhan Parvat and cows</strong> are worshiped on the day of Govardhana Puja. Various kinds of eatables are offered to Lord Krishna. These dishes are called &#8216;Annakoot&#8217; or Annakut.   On the Annkoot festival, there is a law to worship God with different types of dishes. Annakoot means a group of food. Devotees offer Lord Krishna a wide variety of sweets and dishes.  </p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">It is believed that in order to protect the Brajwasis, <strong>Lord Krishna,</strong> with his divine power, lifted the huge Govardhan mountain with a small finger and saved thousands of living creatures and human lives from the wrath of Lord Indra.
