Minister Dr. Ramesh pokhriyal on his official twitter handle wrote, “JEE Main 2020 qualified candidates will now only need to obtain a passing certificate in class XII examination irrespective of the marks obtained.”  

Earlier, for getting admission in NITs & other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, a student has to secure a minimum of 75% marks in XII Board exams or rank among the top 20 percentile in their qualifying examinations along with qualifying JEE Main was mandatory. But now due to pandemic conditions, the eligibility criteria have been revised.

After doing 12^th from a non-medical background if you are interested in semiconductors, analog and digital transmission, signal system, communication process etc. then you should definitely go for Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Eligibility criteria for getting into Electronics and Communication Branch:

• 10+2 with math, physics and chemistry from a recognized school board.
• Minimum 60% marks in physics, chemistry and math.
• Admission process is through IIT JEE Entrance Exam or Merit based.

The steps for registering are:

Step 1: Visit JEE Advanced 2019 official website https://jeeadv.ac.in.

Step 2: Login with JEE Mains 2019 roll number and date of birth.

Step 3: Make a new password for successful registration.

1. Focus on NCERT: NCERT textbooks are the best option to study for this exam. In January attempt, many questions were there from the NCERT books. Thus, thoroughly revising all the concepts and chapters from the NCERT at this time is great option.

4. Take help from Mentors: Take help from the mentors for tips and tricks, short cut methods for solving difficult questions.
