During the event, PM Modi will launch multiple key initiatives in the education sector. The key initiatives announce will be Indian Sign Language Dictionary (audio and text embedded sign language video for the hearing impaired, in conformity with Universal Design of Learning), Talking Books (audiobooks for the visually impaired), School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of CBSE, NISHTHA teachers’ training programme for NIPUN Bharat and Vidyanjali portal (for facilitating education volunteers/ donors/ CSR contributors for school development).

This year theme of Shikshak Parv 2021 will be “Quality and Sustainable Schools – Learning from Schools in India.” On the second day of Shikshak Parv, discussions will be held on the theme “Technology in Education – NDEAR” and “Digital Literacy for Youth and Adults”.

On September 9, there will be sessions on the theme Foundational Literacy and Numeracy: A Pre-requisite to Learning and ECCE and Culture of Innovation in our Schools. Union Education Minister and Union Ministers of State for Education will also be present during the event.

Interested candidates can apply online at http://upsconline.nic.in up to 19th January, 2021 till 6:00 PM. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website (upsconline.nic.in) for being downloaded by candidates. UPSC NDA & NA 2021 examination will be conducted on 18th April, 2021.

Education Qualification For UPSC NDA & NA Examination:

 For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

  For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination.

Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank in a video tweet launches the Manodarpan and said “Manodarpan’s objective is to support students, teachers, and parents. The portal will help them in guiding on how to cope with stress in these hard times.” Minister of State for HRD, Secretaries of the Department of Higher Education, and the School Education and Literacy and senior officials of the Ministry were also present during the virtual launch of the portal.

The ‘Manodarpan’ initiative has been included in the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan so as to provide psychological support to students to combat difficult situations.  

Under the initiative, different advisory for the psychosocial support & mental health promotion for school students and university/college students are issued.

On the Manodarpan Portal, various tips for students, teachers, and parents are given to follow to cope with the stress during the pandemic situation.
