Some tips to prepare for your First year of college

After the finishing of school, the next adventure of life starts i.e. College. It is an entertaining and fun-filled journey with some stress also. Pre-preparing for all the in and out happenings that will occur during college time can help in setting ourselves up for success. Here are some tips that a student must follow during the first year of college:

1. Must visit the campus

If you ever get a chance to visit or to have a campus tour of the college, you must go on. This will give the information about all those activities, different departments, and services that a college is offering to a student.

2. Build Network

Every person you will meet could be a helping hand for you on your college journey. Be friendly and personable with all the people you encounter in your college life. Take the time to learn people’s names and be interested in their lives. This will increase your network and can help you at the time of job hunting.

3. Participate in Extracurricular activity of your choice:

Colleges have a wide exhibit of clubs and activities. You should exploit these chances. Indeed, one should aim to hold some position (e.g., secretary for an activity or sports club) during their time at college. You should consider joining any one extra-curricular activity. Students who are exceptionally dynamic in extra-curricular exercises have an advantage.

4. Work Diligently

Try not to give your first year a chance to overpower you. Rather, make your first year of college stunning. Do hard works in your studies as it will set yourself up for progress.

5. Stay safe

You will get a variety of students at the college. It will depend on you with whom you will do friendship. Take notice of your surroundings and people. Stay safe and seek help from college authorities at the time of emergency.

Know how to crack JEE Mains second attempt

NTA (National Testing Agency) is conducting the JEE 2019 exams. One attempt is covered in January and second is in April. It is said that opportunity never knock twice but NTA is providing a second chance to JEE aspirants to do better if fail to get satisfactory result in first attempt. It is known to all that JEE exam is conducted to get admission in top engineering institutes IIT’s and NIT’s and every year lakhs of students appear in the examination.

Here are some tips given by mentors to students who fail to give best results in January exam but going to appear for JEE April 2019 exam

Focus on NCERT: NCERT textbooks are the best option to study for this exam. In January attempt, many questions were there from the NCERT books. Thus, thoroughly revising all the concepts and chapters from the NCERT at this time is great option.
Do not repeat the past mistakes: The mistakes that you have done in first attempt, try not to do that in second attempt. Focus on your time management skills and clear all the doubts that you have in first attempt. Try to revise that weak portion of syllabus instead of revising whole of the curriculum.
Stay hydrated and Positive: Cracking an exam is all related to maintaining health. If your health is good, only then you will be able to do hard work and can score high. Thus, maintain your health by having sound sleep, drink 7-8 glass of water, do meditation to increase concentration level and keep a positive attitude.
Take help from Mentors: Take help from the mentors for tips and tricks, short cut methods for solving difficult questions.

Thus, follow these simple steps to gain success in second attempt of JEE mains April 2019 exams and avoid the mistakes done in first attempt.

Second round of Ours scholarship Test on 31st March

Ours academy organized a scholarship test for students who want to prepare for B.Sc (Agri), V.S., VLDA, NEET, IIT on 24^th March, 2019. Academy got an overwhelming response of students from the city and adjoining areas. Thousands of students appear for the test but there are many more that were not able to give scholarship test. Keeping their future in mind, academy has planned to organize a second round of test on 31^st March, 2019 at Ours Academy, Rishi Nagar campus, Hisar. Those students who have given the test on 24^th march are not allowed to reappear on 31^st March. Registration process is going on for new students.
