On September 27, 2014; Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon the United Nations General Assembly to celebrate Yoga Day around the world. The United Nations General Assembly had announced its event within just three months after the proposal arrived. The General Assembly announced on 11 December 2014 that 21st day of June will be celebrated as Yoga Day in the world. After which people from all over the world celebrate 21 June every year as International Yoga Day.</p>
