Chopra’s 88.67m throw was the best of the night and helped him earned another gold medal at Doha Diamond. He was not able to go past the 90m mark but came up with the world-leading throw of the season. Jakub Vadlejch finished second with 88.63m in Doha Diamond League.

The victory of Chopra was celebrated by many people across the world, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who congratulated him for his achievement. Addressing the media, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that this scheme will last for 5 years and 1.31 lakh crore rupees will be spent. According to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, pre-school children in the age group of 1-5 years participating in ‘Bal Vatika’ will also be covered under the scheme. According to Dharmendra Pradhan, locally grown nutritious food grains can be made available for mid-day meals in schools under this scheme. Introduction of Tithi Bhojan, social audit, school nutrition gardens & several other measures will help in the effective implementation of the scheme and boost learning & nutrition outcomes.

The Fit India App is free and available in English & Hindi on both the Android and the iOS platforms and has been developed keeping in mind that it works even on basic smartphones.

The Fit India Movement was launched on 29th August 2019 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the vision of making India a Fit and Healthy Nation. The key message is Fitness is easy, fun and free, and can be practiced anywhere. One year later, on the occasion of the 1st Anniversary of the Fit India movement, Prime Minister launched ‘The Age-appropriate fitness protocols for three age groups (1) 5-18 years (2) 18-65 Years and (3) 65+ Years’ developed by an expert committee and endorsed by World Health Organization (WHO).

Fit India App is to empowers each individual to check his/her fitness score based on a set of age-specific fitness tests and get specific recommendations on how to improve their fitness level through physical activities including yoga protocols. Animated Videos have been provided to make individuals understand the procedure for conducting the fitness tests themselves. These features are based on the Age-appropriate fitness protocols launched by Prime Minister.

The App also provides opportunities for Individuals, Schools, Groups, and Organisations to participate in various Fit India Events, Certification Programs, etc. People can share their fitness success stories using this platform.
