Kesari Chapter 2: Akshay Kumar’s Historical Drama Set for Release on April 18, 2025 

Ahead of its release, Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has hyped up the film by unveiling its thrilling trailer. His support has added to the buzz around the movie, which is already highly anticipated by history buffs and cinema lovers alike.

Kesari Chapter 2 – A Story of Justice and Courage

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film is a gripping courtroom drama revolving around Sankaran Nair, a courageous lawyer who dared to challenge the British Empire. The story sheds light on Nair’s legal battle to hold the British accountable for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, where hundreds of innocent Indians were brutally killed by General Dyer’s orders.

The trailer showcases intense scenes of the courtroom battle, where Akshay Kumar as Sankaran Nair takes on General Dyer, questioning him about the merciless killings. R Madhavan enters as Neville McKinley, a sharp and moody lawyer, adding to the tension. Ananya Panday, in a powerful role as a female lawyer, also commands attention.

Produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, and Leo Media Collective, Kesari: Chapter 2 is set to release on April 18, 2025. 

Taking to X on Tuesday, Akshay shared the first look of the film. Sharing it, Akshay wrote, “Dream so Big, they call you crazy! #Sarfira releasing only in cinemas on 12th July, 2024. #MaarUdi.”

About Sarfira

Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film is all set to hit theatres on July 12. Sarfira is produced by Aruna Bhatia (Cape of Good Films), south superstars Suriya and Jyotika (2D Entertainment), and Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment).

The film Welcome to the Jungle also stars Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, alongside Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani and Vrihi Kodvara.

In The Teaser, the main cast is arranged in three rows, carrying guns in hand while wearing military costumes. Disha tries to add a twist to the Welcome song as they all attempt to perform it. However, some mayhem occurs as Daler Mehndi and Mika begin singing Tunak Tunak Tun. Disha is eventually asked to end her solo performance by Akshay, and the entire group then starts singing together again.

Welcome To The Jungle is also set to make history by introducing 24 actors in a groundbreaking musical video, termed as an ‘A capella’, uniting.

Welcome To The Jungle is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Firoz A. Nadiadwala. The film is currently in pre-production and is slated for a theatrical release on December 20, 2024.

In the trailer, Akshay Kumar is an epitome of a devoted brother. Along with Akshay Kumar, Bhumi pednekar,  Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth are in the movie. Akshay Kumar is seen dating Bhumi Pednekar, but he wants to marry her only after his sister’s wedding. In order to give her sisters a quality life, Akshay’s character works multiple folds. The film also addresses the issue of dowry in the society in which they live. The film is a complete family package, primarily based on the brother-sisterhood.

Sharing the Raksha Bandhan Trailer, Akshay Kumar wrote: “Jahan parivaar ka pyaar hota hai, wahan har rukaavat ka samadhaan bhi hota hai. Raksha Bandhan trailer is out, watch now.”

 The film has been directed by Aanand L Rai and jointly produced by Rai, Hiranandani and Zee Studios.  This is Akshay Kumar’s second project with the filmmaker after the 2021 film Atrangi Re, co-starring Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan.

Raksha Bandhan movie will be releasing on August 11, 2022, and will clash with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha at the box office.

Prithviraj movie showcases the story of Great Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, role played by Akshay Kumar. Manushi Chillar, who is debuting her acting career with this magnus opum, plays the role of Prithviraj’s wife, Princess Sanyogita . Along with them, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood are also in lead roles, playing Kaka Kanha and Chand Vardai respectively. Some glimpses from the trailer shows Ashutosh Rana also. The film’s trailer description on YouTube read: “His sword knows nothing but victory. He is Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Celebrate Samrat Prith viraj Chauhan.”

Sharing the film’s trailer on Twitter, the actor Akshay Kumar wrote: “Shaurya aur veerta ki amar kahaani…Yeh hai kahaani Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan ki. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Celebrate Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan with YRF50 only at a theatre near you on 3rd June.”

The movie Prithviraj will hit the screens on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Prithviraj is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films.

The actor is back in a never seen before avatar of a colourful character, as he plays a cruel gangster with a stone eye. 

The Bachchan Pandey trailer begins with Myra Devekar, character played by Kriti Sanon, an aspiring director, who convinces her friend Arshad Warsi (Vishu) to come with her to make a biopic on real life gangster named Bachchhan Paandey. Bachchhan Paandey, role played by Akshay Kumar is seen in a deadly gangster role. Myra finally gets the chance to gain an insight into Bachchhan’s life, but ends up getting caught by Bachchhan Paandey. So what happen next is the real suspense of the movie.

The romantic comedy, Atrangi Re, where Akshay and Dhanush will be seen romancing with Sara Ali Khan. Written by Himanshu Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions, and Cape of Good Films, Atrangi Re is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from December 24 onwards.

While sharing a new poster on social media handles, Bhumi wrote, ‘Aa rhi hai … Durgamati.’ In this poster, Bhumi is seen looking with a mirror in an intense look.

In the original film Bhagmati, Anushka Shetty was in the lead role. Along with Bhumi Pednekar, Arshad Warsi, Jishu Sengupta, Mahi Gill, and Karan Kapadia are also playing the lead roles in Durgamati. The film is being produced by Akshay Kumar and Bhushan Kumar and directed by Ashok. Durgamati movie will be released on Amazon Prime Video on December 11.
