India-set short Documentary ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ to release on Netflix on December 8

Netflix’s upcoming India-set short documentary, The Elephant Whisperers has been given a release date today. A heart-warming story of a South Indian couple was screened last week at the DOC NYC 2022 Film Festival in the US.  Elephant Whisperers is the first Tamil-language documentary directed by Karthiki Gonsalves going to release on Netflix on December 8, 2022.

The Elephant whisperers is a story of Bomman and Bailey, a rural couple living in a South Indian village, and an orphaned elephant named Raghu. The couple dedicates their entire lives to helping the orphaned elephant survive. What starts out as a simple act, soon helps them change their daily routine.

 This 41-minute-long documentary by Netflix with English subtitles will showcase the beauty of the exotic wildlife and people living in that area. The short documentary, The Elephant whisperers marks the directorial debut of Karthiki Gonsalves. Netflix’s short documentary is produced by Guneet Monga and Achin Jain under the banner of Sikh Entertainment.
