Two Eids are celebrated every year in the religion of Islam. One is ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’ and ‘Eid-ul-Juha‘ means ‘Bakrid’. On Eid-ul-Fitr, people make sawaii in their house, while Muslims sacrifice goats on Bakrid. Bakrid comes 70 days after Eid-ul-Fitr. On the day of Bakrid, Muslims sacrifice goats and buffaloes.
On this day, people also do zakat and fitra according to their income. It is said in Islam that while celebrating any festival, it is necessary to keep in mind that the festival is being celebrated with equal joy in their neighboring house.
The festival of Eid ul Adha 2019 or Eid ul Azha is being celebrated all over the world on 12 August 2019. This sacred festival of Muslims is known as the festival of sacrifice. The festival of Bakrid is celebrated when the yatra of Hajj is completed. Those who believe in Islam to this day remember the sacrifice of the Prophet Abraham in which he sacrificed his son at the order of Allah. On this occasion, Muslims offer Eid prayers, sacrifices and visit their relatives, dress well and make delicious meals and offer friends a treat.
