Brahmaputra Opens a New Chapter with First International Cargo from Dibrugarh

The first international inland waterways cargo movement from Dibrugarh since Independence has begun, with 540 MT of methanol being transported from Bogibeel to Dhaka, Bangladesh via the Brahmaputra on National Waterway-2.

Historic Voyage from Dibrugarh to Dhaka

The cargo, produced by Assam Petro-Chemicals Ltd, is being carried by DLB Patkai to Dhaka. The voyage marks a significant milestone for Assam’s waterways and opens new possibilities for trade and transportation between the Northeast and Bangladesh.
